SO I have been putting off buying a PS3 for years now, so I could play some of those console games that I have missed (God of War3, Uncharted, Ni No Kuni, Valkyria Chronicles, Vanquish etc) but with the PS4 on the horison it may be a little late for that. But then again the PS4 will have no games for the first year and will probably be really expensive, the decision would have been easy if it had backwards compatability I guess lol.

you can put all the ram you want in a machine but if it has no games you want to play then wait.

I would get the PS3 to play those classics first.

Buy a cheap PS3. Saving for a system you have no idea about that might somewhat fail or might have manufacturing faults etc (like yellow light of death/red ring of death) well lets say there is smarter moves.

You will also most likely have an insufficient number of games. Wait at least 6 months when the system is out you have more games and you might even save 100 bucks because the retailers start the price war.

I bought my second PS3 1 month ago and got it for 115 (including move camera and controller) so when you are lucky you should be able to get one for cheap (you can even buy imported once since the PS3 is region free).

I bought my first PS3 years after the console came out and immediatly had 40+ games that interested me and most of them were total bargains so.

Best decision I could have made.

Can you wait till E3? Because PS3 may get a price cut thats why I'm telling you to wait till E3 and and it's only less than 3 months too

you missed the boat dude... wait for a ps4. Your going to be a little sad this nov is you don't. Plus the ps3 will be only $200 bucks by then. and games like $20 bucks.

Oh I wouldn't be getting the PS4 at launch ether way I am willing to bet it will be very expensive where I live. I am not really short on games to play (I have a massive Steam backlog infact, not to mention all those cRPG kickstarters I backed lol) so having a smaller library isn't really a huge concern ether, as I am sure there will be games I want announced for PS4. I will probably just put off the decision indefinately like I have been for the last few years, this thread is more because I was bored than actually thinking that I will make a decision any time soon. 

But I hear PSN is really slow and shitty, that doesn't sound like fun at all.
