The main theme from the Godfather

Excellent. Written by Nina Rota. The producer Robert Evan originally wanted Hernri Mancini to do the score but Coppolla held out and won. One of the best movie theme songs ever. The ingenious ways in which the music weaves its way through disparate scenes seems to always be a foreshadowing of something while showing us some great mise-'en scene photography. Good One.

I'm listenening to:

Manhattan Serenade - Tommey Dorsey & Jo Stafford
