Forums - Sony - Games will run faster on the PS4 then on a PC....

4GB of RAM for games and the other 4GB for sharing stuff. Devs themselves seems to forget what is this about.

Thanks for the laugh.

Nope. Maybe on a crappy port that was built on PS4 and half-assed on a port to other consoles/PC, but not in general and certainly not past the first year of the consoles life when PCs are on average far more powerful.

Really, all this super computer talk for PS4 is getting annoying.

Especially since its only focusing on memory and ignoring the down-clocked APU with mobile-series CPU/GPUs.

Yeah... its uber-crazy-powerful. It'll run on love even.

I'm no PC expert, but I agree with you. It's starting to get on my nerves and I'm all about the playstation. :/

If the early games looks like Killzone Shadow Fall then only high-enthusiastic PC will be better than PS4.

I will see a lot of guys here eating crow like the same happened with Wii U power and GPU (only inverse to PS4).

Like I said... only guys with machines equipped with GPUs over the GTX 680/HD 7970 will run games better than PS4.... so ~2% of the PC gamer users.

Every gamer developer always asked for more and fast RAM... 8GB GDDR5 give them that.

In terms of memory, all modern PC GPUs have GDDR5 memory as fast as PS4, if not faster. For CPU tasks, it makes absolutely no differernce to have GDDR5 vs DDR3 memory as AMD's CPUs can't even put 2133 mhz DDR3 memory to use.

Secondly, GTX680/7970 power will be mid tier gaming cards for next gen of cards laucnhing this year. GTX 660ti = GTX 580 flagship from next gen in terms of performance. GTX 760 Ti should be 300 bucks and provide power of GTX680 by the time PS4 launches.

Thirdly, PC gamers have much more options to harnes "power" from their systems. My buddy picked up 2 GTX 560s on sale for 99 each and set them up in SLI. That is more powerful than the PS4. Today you can pick up 2X 7850 and run them in crossfire for ~300 bucks and easily beat a 7970 in performance.

Anyone that has a quadcore PC today, can spend the same money upgrading the PC as they will spend on a PS4 or 720 and have a more powerful and faster gaming system.

I have no idea what your talking about, but it's obvious people have alot more options and flexibility, when it comes to a pc and for that reason I agree with your post. Just more PR talk in my mind and I'm a sony fan.

Only people that will eat crow are the ones who posted that PS4 games will look better than PC version because of 8 GB GDDR5 RAM.

Im sure we will have Digital Foundry articles comparing Assassins Creed 4 and Watch Dogs when they launch on all platforms.

And the game on an Intel i3770K with GeForce Titan will run bells and whistles around the PS4. Kind of a no brainer. What does he even babble about "equivalent game" - does he know that equivalent essentially means "same performance"?

Yeah. People praising PS4 are crazy. Most of us PC gamers have $5000 PCs that blow PS4 out of the water. Those with integrated graphics and mid-range PCs are in the minority.

It will be better - The Shadow Fall Version showed was made with a Devkit that didn't even have anywhere near the power of the real PS4.
GG was surprised about the 8GB GDDR5 announcement cause even they didn't know and so didn't anyone else as it looks like.

PC will benefit a lot from the PS4 cause the games won't be limited like they are now.
We have like 3 games on PC that really use the possibilities available cause everything is made for PS360 limitations.Hell even Crysis 3 has to suffer cause its just a lame hallway shooter. If they would have gone all out Crysis 3 would be a damn big explorable open world with the best graphics available but it isn't.
Its a hallway shooter with better details on PC cause they need to sell and run the game mainly on consoles.
Only DICE with Battlefield 3 made the cut and made a somehow own version for PC with bigger maps and more players in MP Mode. This won't be needed with the PS4 cause the console can do it without any problems.

With the PS4 Developers can go all out and give when the time comes the PC its better detail level again but at the same time they don't have to sacrifice anything for the game itself. But maybe till then GaiKai will be used as it should be and we don't see any differences anymore at the end at all cause there is only "Max Settings" for everyone.

Most people tend to forget 99% of PC games only look slightly better than the console counterparts cause those are the mainplatforms.
They can have 5 Titans in their PCs at the moment but for except a handful of games most won't see the 5000$ difference.
PC People(and im one of them) should be happy the PS4 is getting all that praise cause it will mean the hardware has finally some use.
Why investing at the moment in good PC Hardware? Why investing in a 1000$ TItan when a GTX660 or even some cheaper stuff is maxing everything out available? If the consoles aren't good enough the money for expensive PC hardware is wasted and not needed cause the money for developers is on consoles.

Yeah...PS4 is plenty powerful for a next console. If we could just leave it at that conclusion all will be swell. :)

Yeap... I agree... with the next-gen the PC will have a new big leap in graphics like happed with Crisis in 2007... the consoles hold the PC graphics development all these years and even Crysis 3 is that superior to original Crysis.

PS4 graphical leap will benefit either console and PC gamers

PS. VGKing comment was sarcasm lol.

I love threads about articles that talk about Developers praising the PS4 so I can see the comments that follow

I love the "NOPE" comments. As if they know more than the actual Developers. Like it's the Developers that are talking out their ass
