Dear god that generic combat rock riff. The combat presentation is very nice though. I like the animated snippets in the corners, something that has been used a lot lately in the SRW series.
looks amazing, will Be my first tales game :D
Day one for me, the game I want the most this year, I hope it reaches EU this year.
Sony Wins
Black Women Are The Most Beautiful Women On The Planet.
"In video game terms, RPGs are games that involve a form of separate battles taking place with a specialized battle system and the use of a system that increases your power through a form of points.
Sure, what you say is the definition, but the connotation of RPGs is what they are in video games." - dtewi
The game looks good and the voice acting seems decent too. The problem that I have with that video is how the enemies don't seem to fight almost at all! The player characters are all over the place attacking with gusto and flashy poses, but the enemies just walk around happy to be torn into pieces.
Is this game one of those cases where the only fights that pose a challenge are the boss fights? I hope not, because that would make the game a bore to play and its premise is interesting. But I won't buy it if it's game where you jump from tedious battle to tedious battle because the enemies are just there to be grinded for experience points.
Depends on how much you grind before you get to certain areas but there will b more challenging enemies and alternative areas and dungeons. It's a tales game, haven't you played any?

They look much improved over Graces F, which is something I suppose.

I haven't actually. My relationship with JRPG's turned sour a few years ago. Lately I've been interested in trying one out and see if my intelligence won't still be insulted. Tales of Xillia might be a good start, I hope.
I'm currently going through (at long last, yes I know) Valkyria Chronicles and I'm enjoying it. It's not the typical JRPG and maybe that's where I needed to start.

Broke Franchise PreOrder Records and did better than FF13-2 in the first few weeks.
Tales of Xillia had the advantage cause it was the first real PS3 Exclusive Tales of in this Gen and that helped the game a lot.

Tales of Games are never about graphic.
You can consider them probably "low budget" Games in that category - They are much more heavy on skits, the damn awesome battle system and other aspects.
But those games make a lot of money in Japan especially since the PS3 got Tales of Vesperia and thanks to this Gen introducing DLC.
Alone the amount of sold costume DLC for ToV on the PS3 helped the Tales of Studios get back on their feet before they had to close down cause the other version didn't have any benefits for them and only made them lose money.
ToX is a good Tales of - But it has a few flaws.
Im kinda interested if they bring ToX2 to the western community - Probably depends on the sales of ToX.
I hope for Bamco and the Tales of Studios they stay directly Sony Exclusive with the MainGames. They probably learned their lessons.
But with the PS4 they surely have to upgrade the graphics and the details - They made enough money with the PS3 to afford a new engine and stuff.
