Forums - Sony - My Killzone Theory

From what I understand the surviving population of Helghan is now in their half of Vekta city. Given this, I just don't really see how the game will progress with the Helghast as the main antagonist. Even if they were able to somehow pull off a take over, their population is just too small to really pose a threat to the entire galaxy.

So my theory is that:

1) Visari will somehow make a comeback (I think a lot of people already support the double theory)

2) In the end, rather than win by military power, Visari will somehow get the citizens of Vekta, and possilby other colonies, to rebel against the Earth government

3) Visari will somehow convince the Vektans that they are really the same as the Helghast, and unite them.

The major hole in my theory is the fact that Visari promoted the idea of Helghan racial superiority and the Vektans suffered from the Helghast invasions and resent them.

But this is the only theory I could think of. I remember talking with KylieDog and him theorizing that the petrusite might make the Helghast stronger, but eh. I still think that the population of the Helghast is just too big of a hurdle for them to continue being a threat. At most, they could probably have some kind of super weapon to destory Earth (like the end of KZ3), but the Helghast waging a full out war just seems unlikely to me.

Uniting the Helghast and the Vektans is the only way that Killzone could finally utilize the backstory they established to their full potential, and make Visari's plans not look idiotic (I mean, it just seems ridiculous that Visari would lose so many times, on purpose. Unless his strategy was to either unite the Vektans and Helghast and/or start a broader civil war within the galaxy.

So, if you have any of your own theories on how Killzone's going to continue after Shadowfall, please post them.

The game looked as though it was set far far in the future of KZ from the look of the new guns, maybe the higs have rebuilt and launched an attack.

30 years isn't the far far future.

To the OP ... I'm just getting into the world of KZ so if you find me ignorant then enlighten me.. I'm curious about your first point. What evidence suggests Visari used a double?

Playstation = The Beast from the East

Sony + Nintendo = WIN! PS3 + PSV + PS4 + Wii U + 3DS

I really can't think exactly how they're going to twist this. How can the defeated Helghast still be a threat? And the opening of Shadow Fall, does it mean that the Helghast have now declared war again? The Shadow Marshal, is he an ISA employee? Is he supposed to be neutral somehow?

GG has mentioned that KZ:SF will have more player choice, what does that mean exactly?

Argh. I want to know.

Visari's eyes were green (same with his daughter) in the Killzone 2 intro. However, in the ending Visari's eyes were red, thus the red-eyed Visari that Rico killed may have been a double or that the monitor screen could have gave Visari's eyes a green tint. Visari's eyes were also red in the Killzone 3 intro and his daughter quickly took her hand away from him, she also didn't look to happy when she saw him.

Also, if you finished KZ3, you'll get that vibe too.

Not in reply to you, I wonder if they would ever utilize the character of Hakha again. I mean, this time his half Helghan background should be ripe for harvesting given how the Helghast essentially suffered from genocide.

looks like I'll have to go back an finish to campaign from 2 and 3 just to catch up on the story line. I always liked the games but didn't finish either story mode because i was wrapped up in the online side of the game. Out side of call of duty it's was my go to online shooter.

Ah I see. Interesting stuff. I'll look into what you just shared. I have not started the third game yet. I intend to when I'm off from school. But do you think he would be alive after 30 years though? He already seemed pretty old in KZ2.

If they're able to clone people, they might be able to pull some kind of explanation *shrug*

He's way too important a character though for him to not be utilized.

My theory is simpler... on Shadowfall Vektas and Hellgast make a truce.. but keep a tense peace... that's why due to race and cultural difference and all the hatting from the past wars they come to live beside each others...

About Visari.. Totally true.. after the ending of KZ3 that's the vibe you get, may be Visari did that because the pression of his military advicers... and because they were growing n power and did that so the vektas take care of them and then come back after all the mess as a messiah!

Anyway.. I hope in this games as on Killzone Mercenary for Vita we could play the Hellgast side of the story.. would be great to have two complementary campains and deep on the background story.. I really like the story of KZ, but I think guerrilla haven't take chance of it properly due to the "hellgast are evil and the bad-asses patriotic and faulmouthed heroes save the day allways" narration :/ really a shame!
