Forums - Microsoft - Help! Convince me not to buy a very cheap and sexy 360! >_< Save my wallet!

Apart from games I've already mentioned I'm also interested in Project Sylpheed and Earth Defence Force. Don't know why, but sometimes I get obsessed with titles I really don't know anything about. Happened with Valkyria Chronicles, Bayonetta and Folklore, and I really liked those so I trust this "instinct" of mine.

Valkyria Chronicles is an absolute must buy if/when you get a PS3. Such an amazing game. Folklore was pretty neat from what I played of the demo. Bayonetta you might actually want an xbox for.

Oh, I've already played these on a PS3. VC is truly amazing and I'm gonna get the PSP sequel soon. I've never tried the 360 version of Bayonetta so I don't know what I missed but as far as I'm concerned the PS3 version works fine and is well worth getting if you don't have a 360.

dont buy it waite for the ps4 or buy a CHEAP ps3

VITA 32 GIG CARD.250 GIG SLIM & 160 GIG PHAT PS3

If you have a PS3 then there is no reason to make this purchase. Why because PS+ has Vanquish for free right now and many other games. Plus, you can buy Tomb Raider on the PSN. You just spend 110, got the two games you wanted and tons more free games with PS+. Also because you spent over a $100 PSN will give you $20 in credit.

So dozens of free games for the next 15 months including vanquish and tomb raider plus $20 in PSN credit and you save 70 dollars overall sounds like a smart decision to me.

Well besides that....Uncharted, Resistance, Infamous, Fallout 3, Oblivion, LittleBigPlanet 2, Skyrim (think you mentioned you have this for PC), Bioshock, God of War, etc are all must plays depending on what genres you like.

The amount of PS3 owners in here trying to sway the OP from buying a 360 is ridiculous.

Don't know if I'm late to the party, OP, but here's my suggestion:

Get all the consoles.

So yeah, buy the 360 =D I have not read everything in this thread, but aside for playing online, you can pretty much do anything online without paying the live fee. And there are lots of games you can enjoy, contrary to the popular belief. Blue Dragon, Lost Odyssey, Tales of Vesperia, the original Dead Rising (Though Capcom released a spin-off with the same story in the Wii), Fable 2 and 3, The Last Remnant (though there's a PC version), Viva Piñata, Deadly Premonition! (But the Director's cut is coming to PS3), Dead or Alive 4. Crackdown (let's ignore the second one xD), an incredible amount of shoot 'em up courtesy of Cave, the Forza's, and a solid XBL Arcade games list.

Thanks for the input guys. I'll hold off for now and wait for a better bundle or a price cut (or another impulse). But knowing that you can get a new shiny 360 with a new shiny game for this price I'll keep my eyes on the 360 hardware section in case a more interesting deal shows up.

I guess the 4GB model is an option but from what I understand you can't use an external hard drive for saves and games?

But you can use every USB-Stick with the 360 to increase memory.

PS+ games have never been advertised as free, they're just one of the perks or an 'Instant game collection' as SONY calls it for a subscription which has been clearly advertised as such.

Took me all of 2 seconds to Google "PS+ free games" and see PS blog results where Sony does in fact say the games are free.

I believe the company line is "Free for PS+ members" ie. free after you have already payed the PS+ subscription. Which is accurate.
