Well you also need it to go to the XBL arcade, watch netflix and basicly anything that uses the internet

Eh, you need it to access the online store?

No, you do not need GOLD to access the online store.

You need Xbox silver which is free last I checked.. Don't buy a 360 tho unless you can tell us a game you want.

Why not buy two at that price?

well look at it this way, you will be paying for live for atleast a year, thats another 50 bucks to your 180$, add another 50 bucks for every year you want live with it.

I'll probably not get Live. You only need it to play online right?

to do anything online from what i understood. here is the thing, if you already have a PC and your not interested in Forza then you only have two noticable games left to play, which are gears and halo. is it really worth getting the xbox for these two franchises that, mind you, you wont be able to play online? considering that you have a PC that will play your games on a higher quality level of graphics. if these two franchises are worth 180$ bucks to get access to, then you got your answer.

I'm not interested in Halo either and I won't have to get Gears (that's what friends are for!). But, I don't have a PS3 so a 360 would give me access to games not available on PC or games that I'd just prefer to play on a console. Games like Tales of Vesperia, Vanquish and Resonance of Fate aren't available on PC and I happen to own FFXIII and Eternal Sonata for the 360 (don't ask why ). I'd also like to try out Shadow Complex because of it's similarity with Metroid.

And I'm not sure if my PC is better than a 360. On par perhaps.

That's actually not that great of a deal considering this is an 8 year old console. Wait for some better deals or the inevitable price cut in a few months. If you can't wait, I'm sure you can find a cheaper used Xbox 360 at Gamestop.

So I was browsing an online store and by accident ended up looking at 360 hardware. And, I just happened to come across this very attractive 360 for ~$180. It's the 250GB model and you get the new Tomb Raider + Forza 4 & Skyrim. Sooo cheap! Really don't care about Forza and I already own Skyrim, and I sort of isn't that interested in Tomb Raider. But still, it's really, really cheap! And I could play Metal Gear Revengeance on it, and finally get Vanquish, perhaps get Tales of Vesperia and Resonance of Fate too!

Urgh, but I got a Wii U at launch and I've been a PSP owner for less than a month. My ever increasing Steam library hates me. I really don't need another console right now, but it's so damn tempting. A new 360 slim with a brand new game for 180 bucks. Is it supposed to be that cheap?

I need help. Please tell me why I shouldn't get this gorgeous piece of awsomeness. Or, tell me why I should get it. Actually just do the latter because I have a feeling that I'll end up with this babe no matter what you say and I will need someone to assure me that I did the right thing.

Tomb Raider, Forza, AND Skyrim + 250gb HDD for $180? What are you waiting for? Buy it! You could probably resell the bundle for more than that!

Wait for official price drop which is coming.

Get Tomb Raider and Skyrim on PC.

Forget Forza 4 and go for Horizon.

Patience is key.

There OP - hope it helped.

I'm starting to calm down a bit. A price drop could come this year and there might be a bundle with a game I actually want (Had it been MG:R...oh dear) so waiting makes sense.

The likes of Amazon and other online retailers often have deals on memberships, also you dont a Gold account to access the online store.

Even if the console is old I still consider it a good deal. You get a new 360 slim with a 250 HDD and a brand new game.

And Gamestop surely has cheaper 360's but I'd rather get a new one. Same with PS3 or any modern console. Unless we're talking $40 for the console.
