Nice! Yes the ending in 2 was great man. GOW3 and Ascension are my favorites combat wise, but for the pure shock and awe from story I’d go with GOW2 and Ghost of Sparta. I’m playing over Ascension again now. Third time.

What do you think about the relationship between Kratos and Zeus? The revelation made by Athena at the end.

the only new game im getting before June is Soul Sacrafice, unless i can scrape together some money for MGR. i usually wait for prices to drop if its not apart of 1 of my 5 franchises, unless it really blows me away

Well what I thought was weird was the fact that his mother told him Zeus was during Ghost of Sparta, his eye widened. But then in 2 when Athena tells him he's still shocked. I know 2 came out before Ghost of Sparta, but it's kind of weird he didn't say anything about it the entire time lol.

Yea I'm in the same boat on both counts. Soul Sacrifice is a day one for me and I already pre-ordered. MGR I want but shelling out 60 for every game is a bit much, so I placed it in my cart along with other games I intend to get at a lower price. I have that, DmC, Ni No Kuni and Tomb Raider in my cart with the expectation of them going down in a few months. I got Max Payne 3 for 17 USD new on Amazon only 5 months after it released, so there's no rush for games that are not 'day 1 must buys'. You just have to monitor the prices on Amazon for deals.

Exactamundo! When I was playing Ghost the other day and she told him I was like … didn't this happen in 2 as well? Who knows lol Either way it was weird. I have not finished GoS yet so I can't speak to that bit yet.

But the reveal made sense to me in 2 though because Kratos seemed too strong for a regular human. I remember thinking that when I was playing, especially in 2. This dude was doing all kind of brute stuff in the game. Also, it seems like Zeus favors Kratos too, but you’ll get to that in GOW3. :D

But Ghost of Sparta takes place before God of War 2? So unless he thought his own mom was full of shit, I don't see how he would still be surprised when Athena told him lol.

Yea I mixed up the timeline between the two and went back and edited it just before you responded. I remembered 2 doesn’t start right after 1 and that’s where GoS comes in, so his mum had to have told him about Zeus first. That’s what I get for playing all these GOW games at once lol Yea it’s weird. As you pointed out he probably thought his mum was just giving him falsehoods. I have to complete the game first and probably play over 2 to see. But that jumped at me when I started playing it the other day. Who knows … maybe all that tail Kratos gets between games has him forgetting who his dad is. Ready at Dawn probably fucked up
