Yes we should! Yeah, I'm really surprised by how good the PSP games are. I was afraid playing either GoW3 or Ascension before finishing the others would ruin it for me. Not the story (well yes in 3's case) but the gameplay and visuals as I expect them to be better in the PS3 games.

Just beat Ascension. Took me 9 hours on Normal. Didnt rush it imo, looked for chests etc (and yet was unable to full exactly all weapons though ugh.. although I did max health & magic).

Will make a thread later regarding my thoughts but if I was to like score it without going into too much detail:

A game that sadly lacks narrative and has a story that doesn't reach its potential. Despite that, it is a great game. - 8/10

EDIT: CHANGE THAT! I havent actually played MP yet aside from the Beta which I know is great. So we're easily talking a 9 here (unless the MP is even more insane which it probably is) xD

 

EDIT2: With that said, the campaign was an 8/10. With MP itll go up. But with GoW3 and previous entries: The campaign alone really put it to a 9-10 standard for me. So yeah.. worse campaign (slightly) but MP does kinda make up for it.

Those games held up well, surprisingly. Chains had me sweating on the hardest difficulty and it was very enjoyable. It was harder than 1 and 2 for me. Ghost is shaping up to be very nice as well. I had similar fears but I guess their longevity is a testament to Ready at Dawn’s dexterity and the technical prowess of the PSP. It was a really competent system in its day.

Yeah they do. I've yet to play any of them on hard though (i'm a pussy muahah) as I wanna get through them to catch up with the story. I might go back and try the more challenging modes after i've played ascension.

How would you rate it compared to the rest of the series? Would you say it comes in just before GoW 3?
