Sony is planning to hold a PlayStation 4 conference at this years Tokyo Game Show on September 19, 2013, says Gematsu.

The event is called “The World PlayStation 4 Creates,” and it will be hosted by SCE president and Group CEO Andrew House, senior vice president Masayasu Ito, and Sony Worldwide Studios president Shuhei Yoshida.

Whether or not the entire conference will be focused on Sony's flagship PS4 remains to be seen, but the event's title certainly suggests a gaming-centric platform and some interesting details concerning the new console will be revealed this autumn.

Tokyo Game Show runs from September 19 through 22.
