Oh, silly Sony only telling third party devs that the ps4 would only have 4gb GDDR5 prior to announcement.
Seems first party must have known about it.

And other great news: Apparently there is no bottlenecks in ps4 according to Guerrilla Games.

But I thought Guerilla and co were surprised when they announced the 8GB??

That's what I thought too.  Maybe they just said they were surprised to help increase ps4 hype.   But either way that's funny to keep third party devs in the dark to more than likely prevent MS from finding out that it's true.

^ It may be PR bs, but either way, the PS3 is a bitch of a system to code for and GG made it sing higher notes than any opera, so I KNOW GG will pump impressive stuff from the PS4. I guess one could say, relatively speaking based on what they were used to on the PS3, it has no bottlenecks. That wouldn't be a lie.

Also ... anybody see Guacamelee reviews?

IGN gave it a 9. Below are the cliff notes. I'll pick it up soon. Just registered for class, and I don't see much free time for even Vita games on the go. :/ Reading books on the train now!

Guacamelee flexes its muscles and proves the strength and everlasting effect of the Metroidvania formula. RT

Rumor: PS4 launch advertising budget around $100 million

Posted April 9th, 2013 at 05:10 EDT by Mike Harradence

Sony has an estimated $100 million advertising budget to play around with when the PlayStation 4 launches.

That’s at least according to a snapshot of a Twitter user named ‘@VirtuaMe,’ who is notably followed by all official PlayStation Twitter channels (via NeoGAF).

The Tweet itself reads, “@Sony’s estimated advertising launch budget for PS4 is $100,000,000. #PlayStation”

Of course, this should be treated as pure rumor and speculation at this point, seeing as how we are not privy to any official info regarding Sony’s marketing budget.

Still, it makes for an interesting topic when you compare it to other marketing efforts. For example, back in 1999 SEGA had $100 million for the Dreamcast, which when adjusted for inflation ranks at around $130 million today.

More recently, Nintendo’s Wii had a budget of around $200 million, and triple-A titles such as Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 and Grand Theft Auto IV boasted ~$200 and ~$100, respectively.

I'd buy that shit! Imagine the locations (like a jungle), and having Elena man the gun while fighting off pirates and thugs, trying to win first place.

Looks like PS lifestyle enjoyed Guacamelee too. 8.5/10

Pros
Hilarious
A great addition to the Metroidvania genre
Co-op (on PS3)
Last half of the game is an absolute blast

Cons
Combat could have been a little more advanced
Ended too soon

Oh and for anybody who is interested, Amazon (US) has Ni No Kuni for 40 and Tomb Raider for 45 USD respectively.
