What has that to do with you saying they're bringing nothing new? 5" 1080p smartphone, water resistant, Dragontrail glass back and front. Tablet Z: thinnest and lightest 10" tablet. Compared to Samsing and Apple, everyone's marketshare is small. If Sony really does sell 50M smartphones next FY, that would catapult them to place 3, think they're nr4 now. Regardless, Sony is on the way up.

This is one of those annoying things about Sony fans. Could you do us all a favour and actually wait for success before celebrating it? If and when those products succeed, feel free to pop a bottle of champagne. At the moment, though, this is a real nuisance.

The only actual statistics worth celebrating (and I'm sure it's not too hard to poke holes in those, either) are the Xperia phone sales.

"Xperia phones are doing well. Also, I love Sony tablets. And 4k. And PS4. Therefore, Sony rulez!!"

All fanbases have such fans....this is no different with MS or Nintendo. No harm really, let them have some fun.

I hate when people drop % as well.  Like lets say Xperia had a 1% market share last year.  They not have 1.5%.  Thats a whopping 50% increase.

Please if your going to post percentage increases, tell us what they went from, not how much they raised per year.  It's a pointless number without a reference.

@bold: absolutely not true. All fanbases do it. A quick peek into the nintendo forums should give you plenty of examples too ;) 

This is not arrogance. No need to over think. A fan is happy with a great commercial and a good looking set of products. We had nintendo fans saying the wiiu will be sold out for many months after launch too you know..don't think anyone gave them a hard time for that. Any sensible person can see during times of 'hype' people tend to go a bit crazy with statements. That's perfectly fine as long as it's not insulting other products. 

About the doom thread business..it's a cycle. Nintendo fans were arrogant as fuck even before vita was revealed..that didn't change until a dose of their own medicine got to them thanks to wiiu sales. I hope both sides stop with the stupid bickering and making le doomzed threads. Silly really. And no fanbase is 'above' the other either. I saw many sony fans returning the favor during the wiiu bad sales initially as well. But yeah just silly all around

All fanbases do it, yes. But Sony fans do it more is all I'm saying. There's no one who hypes up Nintendo to nearly the same extent as Turkish does Sony, for example.

And this is arrogance and exactly the kind of stuff that leads to "doomed" threads in retaliation. That's why Sony has been getting more of these threads recently (and why Vita's were way worse than Wii U's). I'm glad you brought up Wii U because that's exactly the thing; Nintendo fans overhyped it and expected way too much then they got a real bashing when it failed. We deserved it. The only way to avoid the hate and the "doom" is to deal with the root cause, which is this incredibly annoying and arrogant "hyping" of fictional success.
