Kinect and its 500million marketing campaign. The lack of first party 360 games shows eol already for the 360. Live is a ripoff. The recent push for media vs. Gaming. And finally the rehashing of their big 4.

So you seem to think all the studio's xbox has been building are just building lego's all day?  Look what kinect is going to do to my gaming room!!! more then your ps4. Looks like to me they are working on immersive ways to play. This with 720 is going to kill. Everyone is going to want this. The next Wii idea. YEs, the thought HAS crossed my mind... But I've also seen his gaming collection. There's quite a few Nintendo DS's there... I think he has 4-5 of them. But the possibilty that MS/Nintendo is fucking up majorly is also a reality. Nintendo has already done that with the N64 and GC, remember? Sony is going out of their way to make sure PS4 will be a success. It's do or die for them.

So you just happen to know this "source's" game collection as well.

And having 4-5 DS games means he totally isn't biased against MS?

As I see it MS totally outwitted sony this gen. They are in a way better position and made a ton of money. MS will be on par with them if the other rumors that actually hold wieght come true.

Yes, MS outwitted SOny totally this gen, and Nintendo outwitted them both. No question about that. And xbox will not be on par with PS4. Like I said, this is do or die for sony. They either win or the exit the market.

I think the thing with the region lock might be true, the Xbox 360 was as well theoretically region locked, Microsoft leaved it to publishers if they want to lock their games or not, they gave the possibility to lock games on 360 and there are a few games that are locked to particular regions but most of the publishers don't locked their games.

So I think it might be the same case this time with the xbox 720. And the thing with the few games on the releas of xbox 360 could be as well be true since every new console launch always with only a few games, this is nothing new and nothing that would bother me. Look at how less game the WiiU had at its launch, it has even now almost no games. The PS3 has for its first 3 years almost no games and the ps4 will have as well on its releas only a few games available.

As long as the rumors with the always needed internet connection and the used games lock are not true for the 720 everthing looks good for the next Xbox in my opinion.

Honestly Nintendo hasn't really shown a very strong effort towards anything that would disprove your info. I've heard about some shoddy dev tools and their hardware is extremely customized. The RAM restriction though, that's crazy.

Microsoft concentrating too much on media and creating a console not game heavy enough while not acquiring studios in time for a decent launch line up...doesn't sound too crazy. But given what it seems Sony is pulling off, it is the wrong move.
