"In the inFAMOUS 2 mission Nix's New Family, Cole mentions having a younger brother. It is unknown as to his current status or location."

Really not digging the vibe of this game. Look, I like 1984 as much as the next guy, but all these OMGZ THE GOVERNMENT IS WATCHING YOU REBEL REBEL!!! games are starting to run together. I much preferred Infamous' comic book vibe.

Not sure if you're serious or not.  If you are, 1984 is a book by George Orwell based around a government that constantly watches every citizen to make sure they're in constant compliance with the Government.

I've never read that book. Anyways, I'm sure the games message is more than just "governments are taking over". In inFamous 2 cole mentions the fact that he has a younger brother so I assume this game takes place after inFamous 2. I don't know how they'll work around it (SPOILER) since in inFamous 2 in one ending Cole dies and in the other he becomes the beast. Maybe they won't include him in it at all.

I thought it was hilarious when he was talking about security cameras and stuff. Then all of a sudden he was like now imagine if people had superpowers! I loled.

I love it, I bought the first 2 it was a relief for me I though Suker Punch was moving on from the franchise.

Okay just got some more info on this game and the reasoning behind the "OMGZ THE GOVERNMENT IS WATCHING YOU REBEL REBEL!!!"

Setting the scene: It’s been seven years since the Cole McGrath episodes and the world has clearly changed. Anyone showing signs of being a so-called “bio-terrorist” is immediately handed over to the Department of Unified Protection (DUP) — a government agency created to ensure there is never a repeat of the catastrophic events of Empire City and New Marais. So Delsin, who has never been particularly respectful of authority, finds himself caught in the DUP dragnet – And decides he’s not going to go quietly.

So basically 7 years have passed and the government is being careful so that an event as catastrophic as the ones that occured in inFamous 1 and 2 don't occur again. Theres a reasoning behind it!!

inFamous Second Son trailer confirmed to be produced by an in house game engine -

"Of course, we are creating all these characters and locations at a remarkable level of detail – made possible by PS4. In fact, this trailer was produced in-house using our game engine – can you tell we’re having fun with the new GPU, tools, and our new VFX system?"

Very few people in the world actually have super powers because the game takes place 7 years after inFamous 2 where all of the conduits were killed off. The reason the government is so tight is just so they can ensure that nothing like that happens again, unfortunatly Cole's brother seems to have gotten the power of turning into smoke =P
