I pray to the seven you're right

This. Anyway, PC, Nintendo, Ouya and other Android consoles are just waiting for some market share to grab should this happen. People already paying for online multiplayer will have to keep on eating crow (also if they never admit it, even under torture
), as people not wanting to pay will still have alternatives.

Also comming from a MMORPG I found this confusing. Espcialy, as now it gives you so many more apps. You are bound to find something you like (Personally my new favorite is Vevo form music and Magna Entertainment for Animme.) Xlive, It's around the cost of one game. But the money helps and forces MS make a better service. Plus aren't the unlimited music services like $10-15/month? |
Agreed. Almost everything has a subscription fee nowadays ... netflix is $108 a year and Amazon prime is $80 a year as well. I can only imagine how much music services cost per year...
The only part of my post that I would change would be that consoles should compete just on the basis of games. This was fine when that was all they did (pre 2005), but they have so many apps and extra features now that you can't get the whole picture or value of a system from games alone. Video game consoles have transformed into media hubs, and they should be judged on the basis of their games and extra media features. Even Nintendo seems to agree with their Wii U TV thing or whatever it is called.
And MAGICALLY...............Sony gamers LOVE paying to play online.
lol.......years of running their mouths........leads to this moment.
Yeah, it has come as a sneaky bad surprise. I suppose it only applies to PS4 and it is rather cheap, but a bad sneaky surprise none the less.
Prediction (June 12th 2017)
Permanent pricedrop for both PS4 Slim and PS4 Pro in October.
PS4 Slim $249 (October 2017)
PS4 Pro $349 (October 2017)
This thread is gold :D.
Nice necro bump, Kowenicki.
In the wilderness we go alone with our new knowledge and strength.
While it doesn't excuse it, it also doesn't take a rocket appliances to point out the value for money PSN+ offers per year.

+1 WiiU sale confirmed.
