This pretty much should answer your question.

Resistance 3 was very lackluster and I'm imagining going multiplatform was their last ditch effort to not get completely disbanded. So if you like Insomniac games, you better be hoping that this game does well enough to keep them in business.

That is a horrible thing to hope for. I mean even your reasoning is wrong. It's not like they will stop making exclusives for PS..I hope they do well but given the negativity behind the title it's going to be hard

i really hope the game does well. im not really a fan of insomniace. i only played the spyro games on PS1 and loved them but nothing else since. but it would be a really big shame for a developer who is pretty talented to and been in the industry so long to get in financial trouble, it would be really sad if they closed there doors because this game flopped.

on another note, i saw some gameplay of Fuse, it didnt look bad. they have some pretty good idea's. creative ones as well. but the problem is the change of art direction that happened from overstrike to fuse. one i think EA is responsible for, the only way i see this game selling barely decently if it gets good reviews.

Wtf? MP wise yes but Resistance 3 has one of the best FPS campaigns ever.

Run back? They can stay where they are. The quality in their games has been languishing over the years. The last few games they made were off the mark and even the good ones had a lot of issues. PS2 days they were golden, and they started off right on the PS3. Now .... not so much. I hope Sony will get a competent dev for Resistance and if necessary R&C

I'm in agreement with you. R3 had a VERY good campaign. I thorougly enjoyed it. MP was meh but oh well ...

They said no plans to 'continue' the series at this point. Maybe it's semantics but to me that =/= won't be making more. That didn't strike me as them planning to make another game right away, but based on the context it seemed like it would be on hiatus. I know Ted said they were done with it so I'll take his word that he wants nothing to do with the series again. But .... let's wait and see.
