Too good to be true honestly..

It's a decent-ish newspaper, not in the top tier (imo) but almost. It's certainly more credible than the Sun, who seem to print a lot of videogame rumours.
But I'm not sure if I'd trust information from it.
If that's the price, then it could mean that it won't be a powerful console.

Or it's selling at a decent loss.

No way. First of all, all companies screw Europe, so WiiU's price in the UK is already a "screw you" (and a bigger than average "screw you" at that).
Converting $300 to £300 wouldn't be screwing, it would be a rip-off of biblical proportions.
If this is true, it'll probably be $/€400. Screwing Europe in a more "normal" way, Nintendo overscrewed this time.
...
Screw.
No troll is too much for me to handle. I rehabilitate trolls, I train people. I am the Troll Whisperer.
god i pray PS4 is $300. and a PS3 price cut will ensue. $179-$199.
I worry about the next-gen consoles being too inexpensive. It's a signal that they aren't reaching too far for a big leap in graphics, which in turn might seem to economically make some sense, but ultimately it sort of defeats the entire purpose of creating a successor that is supposed to offer something unprecedented when compared to it's predecessor.
