Forums - Sony - Why hasn't Yoshida been fired?

To the OP. I dont believe firing Yoshida is the answer. I believe deadlines from Sony is the answer. Im cool with sony giving developers some freedom but there is such a thing as too much freedom as well.

Listen, I am not calling GT5 a bad game at all, I was explaining the reviews is all.  It came from copy&pasted cars, damage to the cars was not done that well, the crowds and trees look like cardboard, and a lot of the gameplay was kind of boring.  However GT5 is still the most realistic simulated racer.

Forza raised the bar by adding damage, paint, acution house, a great online commuinity which also ties in with the paint.  They also added barrel rolls etc.  When GT5 came out if I remember correctly they didnt even want damage on cars but because of Forza they did.  GT5 still needs to work on that area and they need to put customization(paint) on cars and honestly I dont know why they havent done that as it is a big plus for many people.  I am not saying that Forza is a more realistic game, I am just saying as a game it has done a better job.

Forums will not tell you much on the situaution especially when twice as many people have owned a Gran Turismo game over Forza.

And you could have very easily talked to me in a calm manner rather than saying it was a BS response.  No it was not.  many of the complaints i named you will also read in reviews.  Now it has been a very long time since Ive played GT5 and Forza but from memory that is what I went by.

i didn't say you called gt 5 a bad game i'm simply pointing out that many of the claims you made are incorrect

for example,

"  They also added barrel rolls etc.  When GT5 came out if I remember correctly they didnt even want damage on cars but because of Forza they did. "

i already explained the situation on things like damage and rolling

but instead of acknowledging you were wrong you basically repeat the same thing from before in this post yet again

the only reason why i pursued further discussion was that i was curious as to what gameplay elements you were speaking of

and up to now the only real feature you're mentioned that isn't present in gt 5 is basically the livery editor while on the other hand i could name weather effects, night driving, rally, etc as gameplay elements not present in forza

CAN YOU STFU WITH THE GT5 VS FORZA SHIT

this is what i meant by raising the bar.  Remember that Forza 2, 3 was both before GT5.  They raised the bar this gen.  Not Forza 4.  2 and 3 added things the simulator genre.  And yes I am going to repeat myself here one more time.

Forza raised the bar by adding damage, paint, acution house, a great online commuinity which also ties in with the paint.  They also added barrel rolls etc.

All in all both are amazing series and I'm sure both will continue to be amazing series.  Yoshida defintely does not need to be fired though.  Sony I think just needs to makes some deadlines for them maybe.  Cut it down to 4 years which is pretty reasonable.  I just hope they dont make another prologue game.  I was pretty upset when they did that but it still sold 3-5m copies which is crazy.  Shows you how big the name of Gran Turismo is haha

.... the fact alone that PS3 is now 6+ years old and still hasn't had a TEAM ICO game released on it.... SMH.

someone should be fired for that. Why isn't Yoshida giving teams any deadlines? All developers are perfectionists and will take forever to release games if there is never any deadline
