Above 75 is not negative review. It is positive! Below 75 is consider a mediun grade. Negative review is when the game are below 50 on Metacritic. Im gonna buy this Sly game this month. I loved it to play the demo.

It also came out when Dead Space 3 and Fire Emblem were Released! JK, i thought alot of people were excited for this??? Also wasnt it cheap? $40, Now you kno why!

Games quality does not depend on it's price. Plus it has a 75 on metacritic. Hardly a failure in my eyes.

I see nothing at all wrong with a 75 for this type of game. Were most critic really ever going to allow it up into the 80s with Halo 4 or Black Ops 2? I doubt it.

I honestly don't believe this is the type of game you can go into worrying about a Metacritic score, not unless it's well below 70 across the board. Most of the three points in the OP mean nothing to me, so why should I care if critics deducted points for them?

I didn't say it was a failure but it's obvious that the game missed on it's potential. For those who have played A Crack in Time you know what I'm talking about.

It's still a good game, just not great.

i dont know if most of know how the idea of Sly 4 was conceived.

Sanzaru games are fans of the original games and wanted to play more sly, so they pitched sony a demo and sony gave them the HD project. They did well and got the job for sly 4.

If you understand this then it is very clear that Sly 4 is a game made by fan for fans.

it was never supposed to do uncharted, gow, lbp and GT levels.

Stop over analyzing everything and be thankful such a game exists.

If you played those games years ago and liked them, you will like Sly 4. Its the same formula and i am glad for it.

This game is not GOW, Halo, AC3, DS3, Uncharted 4, is not revolutionizing 3d platforming.

If thats what you are looking for, then simply look away and keep walking, you are not gonna find it here.

Did I compare it to any of those games in the OP? Didn't think so. I get your point about a game for fans by fans, but they could've done much better on the story and presentation. Again, go play Crack in Time to see how a Ps3 3D platformer should be.

O.o Incredible how OP gets torn apart for stating Sly4 is a GOOD game, just behind its possibilities. What is so wrong woh that?

Even Sesslers review that gave it 4/10 made the game look perfectly fine.

This is one of the few times i've seen a game being criticized because it's too much like the other games in the franchise lol. Especially when there hasn't been a new game in the franchise for awhile.

I havn't played it but I feel like if they did try to change things up people would accuse it of ignoring the fanbase and trying too hard to appeal to a newer audience.
