Forums - Gaming - EA CEO bought a massive amount of EA shares

Usually a CEO has separate compenstation along with shares in a company, an insider who usually buys is an indication that they see upside for the company.

My take:

You are starting to see multiple, western, 3rd party company stocks come off their generational lows and move higher.  I believe this is in part because of less competetion with the closing of multiple studios and THQ and the rumors now of both the next xbox and next playstation having the ability (or possibility) of not playing used games (higher margins for the companies) and just the general news of next gen systems coming this year.

Around the Network

This could mean 3 things:
1.) The CEO thinks the future of the company is bright and maybe they have an ace up in their sleeve.
2.) The CEO is buying stock to give a confidence boost to investors, financing their next-gen projects.
3.) Both of the two above.

Stock price doesn't finance a company.

Uhmm....Yes, you are right, the stock price would go up. I got confused.

Thanks for the correction.
