No, I don't think that's really it.  If that's what he's saying then he's kind of brainless, but I'm going to give him the benefit of the doubt here and say that he's actually making a pretty good point.

The problem isn't the hardware.  The hardware is great and is very much a "PSP 2"--anyone who looks at it can decipher that.  Japan will love the Vita hardware when/if they have a reason to buy it.  The problem is that the games he listed are being released for the PSP.  That's the entire problem in Japan.  The next generation is out, yet the games that people want are being released for the previous generation or are being released for both systems.

If that's the point he's trying to make then he's actually right.

If he at least mentioned something like rebranding the Vita into the PSP2 then it would have been a solid article but acting like it doesn't exist makes him look like a douche.

He even "predicted" a Persona 4 remake for the "PSP2" and how it would push system. in fact the game already exists on Vita. It's anyones guess what he's trying to accomplish with the article.

It was only $180 on Black Friday week through Amazon. If you really wanted one you would have bought one then.
If you really want a Vita you'll buy it regardless of price. $250 isn't that expensive and if it is for you then maybe you should get a new hobby.
