Wii U to PS4 won't be such a huge disparity compared to Wii and 360. The diffrence will be around PS2 to Xbox1 at the very most!!!

That's what Nintendo fans dreams but the reality is other.

PS4 or Nextbox will have at least 10x (1000%) more power than Wii U... PS2 to Xbox is only 30% gap.

10x is laughably impossible.

I made a mistake... it's 10x PS360... 6-7x the Wii U... sorry.

6-7 times more powerful than Wii U still seems ridiculous.

But who knows.

"Gen 4"

Whut? EA, you so silly.

With EA spewing bile like this, one wonders if Wii U will get any games other than Madden and FIFA from them.

What games EA released to Wii? I don't expect more.

Prepare to be disappointed.

Sorry my mistake... I wanted to mean 10x over PS360... 6-7x over Wii U .

There is no disappointment this time.... the hardware is already defined.

I think ethomaz is right. I don't know yet what Wii U can do, but in the paper it is not so much powerful than current gen (PS3 and Xbox 360).

Everybody knows that Nintendo can do miracles with any hardware, but this will affect once more third party support, the longivity of the console like happens to the Wii and is  already affecting the hype around the system.

About PS2 x Xbox, I don't think the gap is only 30%,I would say almost or more than 100%, but the numbers don't reflect in the games, the gap seems much smaller from the gamer point of view.

So looking at my comparison thread, you really think MSony will be 6-7x WiiU?

I don't see that in those latest rumors at all. But I guess we can discuss that in the other thread or really just wait to see.

Q: I know Nintendo came out today and was a little bit more cautious with their outlook for Wii U sales, doesn't sound like this is a platform you guys are really pursuing aggressively on. What does this really say about the consumers' willingness to adopt the next-gen consoles — we should have something new from Sony and Microsoft, so what does that say with Nintendo going through the early struggles on the Wii U?

A: So, couple of things. First, you never count Nintendo out. They've got some of the best IPs in the game industry, when their marquee titles show up, that's when you usually see the bounce. I'm deeply respectful of the achievements they've had over the last several years, and so yeah, never really count them out.

Having said that, I wouldn't say that we see much correlation between the results that Nintendo have just shown with the console debut of the Wii U and what we see coming. We see a pretty sharp distinction and unfortunately I'm unable to go any further than that.

Ours is an industry where a lot of devices come in and represent themselves as the next generation or the next generation after that. You know in many ways, we would argue that the gen— what we're describing as "Gen 4", is yet to come — and it's that we're excited about, and that's what we're investing in, and frankly we've been quite consistent with that for some time, recognising the frustration our inability to articulate precisely why, causes for you.

I hope this clears up the confusion.

So what they're saying here is that what they shown isn't really living up to the potential of the Wii U with what's coming up?  Or can it be said they are referring to the next gen Sony and Microsoft consoles being distinct from the Wii U?

It really is hard to interpret. Reading the bold obviously he is refering to the untapped potential of the Wii U. I don't know how people got the conclusion that the were refering to other consoles. It baffles me really.

Bet with ninjablade:

Ninjablade wins if the next 5 multiplat on the wii u are inferior to the 360 version.

I win if one of the 5 mulitplats are on par or superior on the Wii U.

EA sucks anymore. There isn't one game from them i like... And to top it off, they force you to take games online, and I don't like that.
