Apple has no competition in the tablet market, I'm disappointed with the lack of high res screens on Android tablets(higher than 1920x1080), and I keep waiting on Surface Pro that should've come out this month.

Uh, the Nexus 10 has a higher resolution screen than the iPad.

Congrats, the only Android tablet to do so and its not even available worldwide while a new iPad comes out just weeks after the announcement. I also heard its not as smooth and fast as the iPad 4.

The Nexus 7 is pretty smooth and fast. From the videos I've seen, the N10 is even faster.

I though they would get rid of the 16gb but no, just a rip off. Might as well get a laptop or Microsoft Surface maybe

When Apple releases new products demand for those products is already there. Demand is already there - and Apple analyses the demand and develops a product according to that demand. Not the other way around.

Nobody wanted an iPad and people only bought them because it had an Apple logo on the back.

Which explains why everyone is clamoring to create a tablet and tablet sales continue to skyrocket while PC sales decline.

Too many people discount Apple simply because they don't like the company. Whether you like Apple or not, they're the most important tech company in the world and have been for several years. Where Apple goes, the industry tends to follow. No, they're not the most "innovative" company in the world... But they ARE the best company at putting their finger on what people want and exploiting that market in new, unexpected directions.

Without Apple, we wouldn't be where we are today with tablets and smartphones. Any opinion to the contrary is just... wrong, short-sighted, and incredibly fanboyish. That doesn't mean anyone needs to love (or even like) the company or buy their products. But to ignore their contributions to the industry is flat-out stupid.
