Fair review - I didn't manage to finish it last weekend, something came up, but it seems I have only one last push for grand finale - I'm still firmly at 6/10 score, but I do generally tend to rate games a bit harsher, especially compared to modern rating standards.

Happy 8th birthday, Breath of the Wild!

It's kinda scary that the Switch and BotW are now eight years old. The Switch launch doesn't feel that long ago...

Bought the game even before I had a switch to play it on at a time where I still had a WiiU I still got the Switch version before I owned a Switch. Guess I was a bit stupid eight years ago. Ended up loving the Switch while almost completely left modern Zelda games in the dust. Strange how things work out.

Right !!  As much as some Zelda fans pray for the comeback of the "traditional formula", the Botw/Totk games made the franchise reach new heights in popularity and critical acclaim. Without it, the franchise was clearly on a down pattern.

BOTW at this point is the most pivotal game in the series after the first game it dragged the series kicking and screaming outside its comfort zone, TOTK is insanity in how it built on the new foundation as the fusion ability has players causing all amounts of carnage in the game
