Forums - Gaming - Anonymous hackers use Konami Code to embed hidden game in US Government websites

Had to post!!! lol First comment on page. "ok now that's just plain ridiculously awesome!!!" I feel the same. LOL

Hackers operating as part of Anyonymous have responded to the suicide of SOPA activist and programmer Aaron Swartz by embedding a game into several US websites, accessible by inputting the fabled Konami Code.

Naked Security reports that Anonymous hacktivists first targeted the website of the US Sentencing Commission. Once completed the hack allowed visitors to access a hidden game of retro arcade classics Asteroids on the website by entering the ‘Konami Code’ – that’s up, up, down, down, left, right, left, right (on the cursor keys) then B, A and finally enter.

The code has since been discovered to be active on other government websites, too. The Code appears in hundreds of games, both from Konami and other third party publishers.

What a great accomplishment...
Not really. I don't see why Anonymous do most of the stuff they do. Some is good, some is just plain ridiculous.
