VGLeaks has a poll up for Orbis asking what we expect. In the comment section it was hinted that we will see their new Orbis article tomorrow :)

I don't expect anything different from the latest rumors... at least they can talk a little about the "secret sauce".

yeah exactly. One guy brought up and interesting concept over at gaf that it could be related to cell (and some patent sony had a while back)...so who knows :D

Gonna be expensive as shit. Might as well call it the PS Vaio. $499 minimum.

Still, can't seem to get interested in the tryhardstation, not because of the system itself but b/c of its weakened brand power. I have much more confidence in MS right now, so its WiiU/720/PC for me.

Somebody in GAF said the same than I said.

"No matter how you turn it, you can't get 2.2GB of VRAM..."

This VRAM is impossible.

I think these latest devoper units come with 8G of gddr5 ram. Usually developer units ship with double the ram than in the end product. This is consistent with the 4G ram rumour in other places. The "2.2G video ram" is obviously the space software reserved as available for the gpu within those 8gigs in the developer units.

Also note that that it's not 8 cores, it's 4 Bulldozer modules. Each module shares an fpu (the reason why Bulldozer performs "poorly" against similar Intel counterparts whose cores have dedicated fpus).

Please don't touch the controller. Or at least let me use my DualShock 3 on my PS4. If you do change at least keep your options open. I've gotten used to the PlayStation controller, been using them for over 10 years.

I am tired of the dualshock, time to improve it.

It's perfect in my opinion. I don't care if they come out with another controller but I want to keep my dualshock. Been using it for around 10 years and I don't want change.

There´s nothing wrong with the dualshock, it is very cool indeed, however, it can be improved. And, after three consoles using it, it better be improved...

It has been improved with each gen, though.  The DS3 being the largest difference from its previous self.  It went from wired to Bluetooth.  It has a built in rechargable battery.  It contains accelerometers for motion gaming.  A home button for easy access to the OS.  And the L2/R2 buttons are no longer buttons, but instead, more like triggers.  The only two things I would improve is those triggers being concave, as well as the analog stick being concave (though, this one isn't as important.)

But lbp and other games do the link account to controller thing on ps3 so that's not exactly new for ps4. All the trophies I earned for lbp and lbp2 were from playing coop on my kids' accounts. What would be new is more than one psn account logged in and tied to controller. Even then with lbp if 2 people are playing on one machine online then the second person's local account has to have a psn account attached.

That's good news. Now I can watch the glorious 180° people will make about a touchscreen on a Controller.

Yep

Sometimes I wonder if you're really a Vita owner

I don't know what the Vita has to do with this since it's not a controller and it would be kinda idiotic for Sony to release a handheld without a screen, but we are talking Sony so you never know, right?

Vita is basically a controller though...with a screen. All things considered. It seems like this PS4 controller will have a touch pad similar to the touchpad on the back of the Vita, not with a screen like WiiU.

Also, you misspelled pezus ;o

Me misspelling you should give you a hint about how much I care about you and your opinion. And all things considered, your reasoning is pretty much insane. But I guess everything goes in the name of the good fight.

Ongoing bet with think-man: He wins if MH4 releases in any shape or form on PSV in 2013, I win if it doesn't.

They need to stop messing around do a small redesign on the vita and use that as a controller. Make perfect sense.

Well I just think this "2.2GB reserved VRAM" kind of destroy the good about the unified RAM... if you have 4GB os shared RAM then the OS have to dinamicly share between system and graphics like 360 do... now if you want to reserve RAM for graphics then the better thing is make your system with 2GB GDDR5 for graphics and 2GB DDR3 (or 4) for system.

This amount of reserved VRAM is weird.

And yeap the each Bulldozer core have two fpu units... so just one part of the CPU is duplicated... when you have a real dual-core you need to duplicate almost everything except the shared cache. 4-core Bulldozer with a good clock is fine for games even more if the "secret sauce" do some CPU related things (like the Eurogamer rumor said).

Tomorrow there is a new VGLeaks article but I thing nothing too diffent from what the other rumors said will be shared with us.

hmm clickable controller?
I remember having that idea back at the ps3 launch.
My idea was basically a split middle section that allowed you to partially rotate the independant halves. The idea was to work with something like drifting in a racing game, or throwing grenades/footballs with left or right arms, and weapon selecting.
Anyway, sounds pretty great, and the rgb does indeed sound like some kind of ps eye tracker.

the twistable controller has been done it was called the   neGcon namco made it mainly for racing games some people swore by

Research shows Video games  help make you smarter, so why am I an idiot

For my sanity, I really hope they are not using Bulldozer based cores, for fuck sake, that shit sucks.
