Forums - Gaming - Surface VS Nexus 10 web browsing experience comparison video - with a clear winner

Chrome Android is really bad. It takes ten seconds to install the default browser though. I don't know why they made Chrome the stock browser.

"It is slower to open on the Surface but you get full web experience." lol.

@kowen

Thanks! I'd blame the surface for my inability to post the video if I wasn't able to do it many times before with it... :)

Android tablets are really not worth purchasing, unless you get them for less than 100€.

Oh come on now.  In both videos he says its faster to open on Surface at the end and experience isn't even close...

Surface looks much more fluid, but I think his gripes about switching from mobile -> web on Nexus 10 Chrome are obsolete. At the end, when he's zooming on both tablets is he using the mobile or web version or a facebook app? I have a suspicion it's either a facebook app or mobile version on Nexus 10 which is why he can only zoom so far.

When he was trying to open a video the Nexus 4 was significantly faster to open it, yet he claimed the experience was better on the Surface. Just that spesific part. I am not talking about in general.

It is no secret that the Chrome for Android sucks. It barely works  on my 1 Ghz old phone. The default Android browser is way faster and performs 30% better in benchmarks.

Plus there two browsers open for Nexus 10. There is much more workload.

My wife and I's Nexus 7 is incredible, especially the fact it was only ~$249 for a 32GB model.

Back from the dead, I'm afraid.

I agree, its a minor issue at best.

A bigger issue for me is that the high res screen on the nexus is actually hurting the web experience since all images are upscalling and looking fuzzy.

That and the lag and slowness on the nexus obviously...

If Chrome is no good there is the second video that showcases how dolphin on Android fares. Benchamrks talk is one thing but different from user experience which is similar to Chrome.

Also, here he says Surface renders full web experience faster than any other browser and has better experience - http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=cI53tTXcPY8#t=636s

The video above is a performance comparison, not interesting as the one in the OP.

lol, well this is interesting too... I mean it shows that while iPad can dominate in JS benchamrks and fishbowl HTML5 tests, user experience still better on the Surface.

Do you mind posting my video too? For some reson I can't post an embed iframe on Vgchartz today...

Kowen's a shark!

Metro interface is so cool!

I wonder of windows 9 will get rid of "what's left of" the old windows and make the whole OS metro based. I also wonder what Ive is planning to do with iOS. OMG, so exciting I could pee...
