PS4, ven con papá

Around the Network

"I am privy to information that is under NDA and I can't share specific details but...."
Another one of those "I have no idea what I am talking about because I have only seen a box labeled PS4/X720 so I just reword other people's rumours" articles. People are really getting nervous as the "final days" approach it seems..

I get the feeling some people aren't reading anything but the title. He's not talk about analogies.

I also found interesting the part about how easy it should be (if this is true) to port between the PS4, the 720, and the PC. That would great news for ports performing well across all consoles regardless of which one was development lead. However, that might be bad news for the Wii U, if it takes more overhead than the other three.

This part also caught my attention: "Point and click games are now viable because they not only have an installed market on the PC but they work well on touchscreens and sell well on Live and PSN as well. Over the next few years you shouldn't be surprised to see "niche" genres get a lot more entries. Adventure games, Isometric RPG's, 2D games and turn based games are being treated as financially viable."

The fall of the mid-level game has lead to the rise of the downloadable game, which might be one of the best things to happen to gaming in a long time. It should be easier than ever for PC indie titles to end up on both PSN and Xbox Live.

The description of the PS4 as a dedicated gaming machine sounds brilliant.

interesting read but i'm not buying 98% of it.
