Forums - Politics - Syria civil war Update: Apparent rocket attack/blast on government controlled part of Aleppo

http://www.aljazeera.com/news/middleeast/2013/01/2013118124343417245.html

If this is true and the rebels have acquired the ability to launch rockets into government territory then this is a major development and shows that they're reaching new levels of capabilities to strike in previously 'secure' government zones.

I wonder how come these new weapons are suddenly popping up now, months after the beginning of the civil war. Maybe they have contacted the Merchant from Resident Evil 4.

Like any other start-up venture, an armed rebellion has to prove that its worthy of investment. Just like how NATO didn't throw their weight behind the rebels in Libya until it was clear that they were a competent force capable of beating Qaddafi on the ground, but just needed someone to trash Qaddafi's decently sophisticated air-defenses. No reason in wasting money on giving weapons to people who are just going to get killed anyway.

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.

The whole rumor about the rocket has came from FSA side claiming it was goverment forces that launched it, accusations made by some diplomatic bigwigs followed. If it was a rocket hardly it prooves or changes anything, it's not a Scud after all :D

That's pretty cool if legit :D

Hacked Emails Reveal ‘Washington-Approved’ Plan to Stage Chemical Weapons Attack in Syria

Predictably somebody asked Torquemada, another German hacker, on Twitter if it's legit, he kinda confirmed it.

You got it wrong, I said the revealing of the fact is cool, or at least supposed revealing.
