I had to stop reading the Rape of Nanjing. That shit is barbaric

I know. But pro-Japanese people here don't awknowledge it. Most people here don't even want to learn about it.

I can understand that the Chinese hate them for that, the Japanese did some messed up shit between 1937 and 1945. But ain't the Chinese just as bad, if they decided to do such a massacre to the Japanese?

Is it any worse than what the Chinese did to their own people during the communist movement?

I don't know too much about it, but alot of people did die in china's communist revoulution in 1949 as well as the so called "cultural revolution" of the 1960's, Mao Zedong killed about 60 to 70 million from what i remember

with all that japanese mech, China doesn't stand a chance

Bet reminder: I bet with Tboned51 that Splatoon won't reach the 1 million shipped mark by the end of 2015. I win if he loses and I lose if I lost.

That's some ridiculous claim. I call it "Holocaust effect" :D numbers increase as the time passes, I'd like to see when it'll finally excede PRC population at the time.

Looking at that reuters update, general whatever is doing a diservice to China by antagonizing the USA.

Its an article from october, but if this is the general sentiment, s**t might hit the fan.

I still hope nothing happens, but that kind of atitude and a wrong move will put China in war with 3 or more nations. Is it that the commies wont go down without a fight? Must another war take place cause they cant learn to live with their neighbours?
Also, China is becoming the worlds top economy. I can tell them that from an economic point of view, to see them go down pleases alot of people. All this for a couple of islands. Risking World War 3 for a couple of islands.
If they do, im sorry, but i hope they lose bad. This kind of selfish crap has to stop. What happened a century ago does not matter anymore. What matters is the now and the people that will die if they keep going on that crazy path.

How is that risking WW3?

The worst I can think of is "chinese threat" mem will increase in popularity in the media (as if it's not popular enough).

They are obviously antagonising the US. If the US join the war, theres a possibility Russia might aswell (in the side of the commies). At that point Europe is forced to counter Russia. It can escalate quite easily.

Obviously theres the possibility that Russia doesnt want to (wich would be way smarter).

The US won't join anything, even if smth will happen the best Japs (and whoever else from that сordon sanitaire of South China Sea) might expect from them is to play their 2nd (logistic, reconnaissance/intelligence, EW, like Lybia) or 3rd (diplomatic support, propaganda, like Syria) fiddle, letting them both kill each other. What Russia has to do with the conflict is beyond me. And Europe counter Russia, with what might I ask?

There was other 'strategist' here suggesting China might threaten Hawaii. I did say then if smth is bound to happen it'll be decided in South/East China Sea and no further. Chinese won't and can't successfully threaten the US military bases in the region let alone target some distant bases or homeland itself.

Leave Chinese alone already, they might be cocky but relatively harmless.

//BTW I did post Stratfor image here with their estimation of Chinese subamrines operational range, you might want to google and check it out. It's very much revealing for those who like to see chimeras.

Yeah there's probably no way of actaully knowing how many were killed because of Mao but it's still alot. It's seemed to have little effect on China's population growth, at least when compared with the one child policy anyway
