Forums - Gaming - Who else is zoning out regarding buying a new console, etc?

As it is now, being real tight on money, and juggling priorities, has resulted in the 3DS, Vita and Wii U, not buring as MUST GET ASAP.  This drive for newness isn't there.  And heck, I ponder even if they release the next XBox and Playstation one, I will follow it from a business perspective (a hobby of mine), but getting it?  Not sure anything will pop up.  I have to reevaluate everything.  Pretty much. I a, fine not getting a new console that play latest stuff.  I actually have a greater interest in getting an update to some hardware and an upgrade to a tablet, and am more than fine just playing some tablet stuff, or what I have, or heck, playing retro gaming stuff.  Of the newest stuff coming out now, th Capcom Arcade Cabinet platform is of the most interest.

Anyone else here feeling this?  I am curious if this may be most people, or just a rare few.  Exactly what do you see in the latest platforms that could announce that would peak your  interest.  Are any of the following of interest to you: 4K graphics resolution, improved 3D without glasses, Kinect that works really really well.  Any of these would make you plop down $400+?  What exactly would?

Just curious what piques interest and wondering if you maybe zoning out.

Ok, I need to run off to the gym now. before work...

The payroll tax holiday expiring took about ~80 dollars per pay period from my check, that's 160 dollars less i have to spend on discretionary things. for me since I am a big saver, im able to absorb it pretty easily, I cant image people living paycheck to paycheck, and yes all forms of discretionary spending is going to be hit. 2013 is going to be a terrible year for gaming.

I bought a Wii U and it's very likely I will buy one of the other two when they are launched. I can't wait to see them!
