Forums - General - I predict most resolutions to fail

People use the new year as an excuse to change who they are, and that's the thing, you have every single day to do that, so why wait until the next year? If that is your motivation, that you have to wait just to gain the courage to change, then I predict most resolutions to fail. Today is a fact, tomorrow is a myth. Stop waiting.

Go ahead and prove me wrong and show me when you achieve your goal(s) but this is how I see it.  I try every day to move forward and watch people around me being lazy so I don't believe a resolution will change that but as I said prove me wrong.  Use this as motivation to prove me wrong.  But I'm always right, just ask me, I'll tell you :P

Since axum locked the other thread right as I posted...

Any day is an arbitrary day to begin to improve yourself. Why not make the arbitrary selection that many other people also choose?

The trick to not failing is to tell everyone about it; people who will hold you to it when you fall short.

Your resolution to create double post a thread seems to have come true....

Mine is just "self improvement." I leave it vague enough so that it is easy to do...

oops lol i didn't even notice that lol  Kind of wish you would have locked this one instead of the other though because people were commenting in that one haha

I promised myself not to eat chocolate in obsessive quantites.

I already failed.

So you delete the thread that I posted in Axum? I see how it goes...

Too bad I can't remember the whole post... It was something about a fresh start rather than the building of courage.

would this be it? lol

I feel like people make New Years resolutions not because they were building up courage to do it, but instead that its a new year or a "fresh start" for most people. That's the reason.

Yeah, that's it. Did you copy it or do you have freakishly precise memory?

The new years resolution my cousin and I made was to beat Resident Evil 5 before years end. I'm happy to report that Wesker is down since 2 a.m this morning.

Ongoing bet with think-man: He wins if MH4 releases in any shape or form on PSV in 2013, I win if it doesn't.
