Hey guys! very long time no post. Recently have been watching a series on youtube called game grumps and they were playing a game called metal slug X that really looked like my cup of team, a tough frantic co op side scroller, I know of the series but have never played it so I ask you all this, what are the best games and the best ways to play them, wii virtual console? original copies? reallly looking foward to hearing what you all think as this game seres looks sweet :)

They are all fantastic. BUY THEM ALL. Even the one on DS. Trust me, none of them fail.

Metal Slug Anthology is out on Wii. I recommend just playing them in any way you can. No versions truly let the game or the series integrity down. So, go get them and have fun!

I also recommend Metal Slug Anthology for Wii its like 5 bucks. and has every(?) game.

The first one is probably the easiest one so it is a good start point. For what I've heard the third one is the best unless the sixth one have surpassed it.

The original platform of this franchise is the Neo-Geo (except for the sixth game), so your best option to play this is to get Metal Slug Antology.
