I think we're ok, we're not ruled by gun-toters in congress! Enjoy being gunned down for no reason.

All I've learned is don't argue guns with Americans.

That's silly, why would somebody who has a gun and lives in a low homicide area be gunned down? It's the people without guns who become the victims of gun crime.  All I know is that my federal government wants to take away my right to due process of law (NDAA), free speech (Patriot's Act), property rights, etc. And if it weren't for my constitution and just as importantly, my right to bear arms, they would have by now. Gun prohibition would be the destruction of my way of life (American) and it is quite apparant.

Your right to bear arms has dick all to do with what the federal government will or won't do to you.

Get this through your heads now, gun nuts. No military is scared of you.

That's because the military is on our side right now. Every poll they overwhelmingly vote no to taking away people's guns, even if the federal government ordered it. If the people weren't armed, would the military be on our side? In fact, most "gun nuts" are or have been part of the military, which is the case on the militia website I frequently read discussions on. It's not the military who would take away guns. It's the federal agents (FBI, in example) , and certain no sheriff today takes crap from them, neither would 100 million gun owners.

Sheriffs who don't take "crap" from FBI agents are reprimanded, and possibly brought up on Federal charges. It's called the supremacy clause for a reason.

If anything, i'm mighty suspicious of how our military trains all these shady people and then just sort of lets them loose to do whatever. There have already been investigations about ex-military folks joining radical militias or racist groups.

In the sheriff's county he is the supreme executive officer, not the federal agent. He is HIGHER than federal agents in local matters.

The Amish often generate public health hazards. A group of Amish in PA have recently gotten all pissy because their neighbors complained that they were dumping raw sewage on the borders of their property.

How the hell is that relevant? You're stereotyping the Amish after just reprimanding ex-military folks for doing the same to racial groups. How are you any less despicable by doing such? I know very well that the Amish pollute far less than your average American consumer, who might we note, have put all of us in a world ecological crisis.

Generally they are a nice enough group of people, but at certain points you have to adhere to higher rules, regardless of your beliefs.

It's actually very relevant. There are public goods that transcend our personal or local preferences.

It's not relevant because dumping trash is an entirely different issue from selling unpasteurized milk. You don't prosecute an individual for the crimes of others within their ethnic group ( in this case Amish.) Every case is independent of the other. If this is ok, then I can apply the same to so many groups that we should all be accounted for crimes we haven't commited personally.  I'm just glad there are many, many people who will stand up to tyranny and force imposed by a government that should be working for us, not against us, in fact, the federal government should be preoccupied with interstate matters and not that of any local group unless it influences interstate matters. This is precisely the same things that the revolutionaries fought against during the colonial period. There should be no reason why this Amish man can't have his business with those willing to accept it. But anyway, it's besides the point. It's the point that the federal government is not going through constitutional means on this.

"Rogers said his whole point in confronting the FDA is to protect the Constitutional rights of local residents. He indicated he wants the federal agency to go through the court system and present its evidence to a judge, who could then decide if there was enough evidence to justify the issuance of a warrant allowing the inspection of Forest Grover Dairy."

“Due process is the important part of it... Quite frankly, we have state laws and county ordinances and so on,” Rogers said. “For example, the health department does inspections. Even with those, I am very pro health department, but on the other hand, if the store owner says ‘No, I don’t want you coming in,’ they will probably close them down, and that’s fine. But they don’t have to let them come in, in the true sense of the word. They have the right to go further with their due process.”

Whats an AK-74 or a SCAR then? Coz I know guns and they're Assault rifles! The AK may be a sub-machine gun. Are they semi's?

Rifles.

unless they are used to attack somebody they arent "assault" anything. anyway as much as a misnomer as "assault rifle" is, it is usually defined as a gun with select fire capabilities. meaning either full auto(hold down the trigger and bullets fire until you run out) and burst fire (hold dont the trigger 3 or so bullets come out). I own a Ak-47, my bro owns a AK-74, they are both semi-auto, so like 90% of all other rifles, they only fire one bullet per trigger pull. Also they arent any different than a standard hunting rifle, other than they look cool, are much more durable, and reliable, but less acurate, and fire a slightly smaller round than most hunting rifles. and actually the Ak-74 is a standard full lenth carbine. the difference between an Ak-47 and Ak-74, is the 47 fires a 7.62x39, the 74 fires a 5.45x39. what you are thinking of is the AK-74u, which is a short barrelled version, and it short barrel guns are highly regulated, it requires a class 3 permit, finger prints, name put on registry, and a $200 tax stamp.

You want a ban on gun free zones? Great choice.

Why do you have that many guns? Does it make you feel like you have 'power'?

no, i have them becuase they are fun to shoot, i love going to the range. they are just a blast. i dont feel like i have power, i just know that if in the unlikely case that a bad guy comes after me, i do have a much better chance at defending myself, than without them. like i said, my glock is my homedefense weapon, but if i some reason cant get to it, my Ak, SCAR, or Ruger will have to sufice.

You can kill someone with a boiled sweet whats your point? Cars are more helpful to the world than an civilian with an AK!

well thats debatable, true cars are useful, but why must somebody own one that can go over 65mph, way more than a ton, seat 4, have AC, have power locks, have GPS, power window, reverse cameras, etc. My Ak is a very highly versitile gun, it can be used for self defense, its good foor hunting, its round is big enough to kill most big game, will small enough to kill without mutilating smaller game, its highly dependable, its near impossible to break, it shoot reletively inexpensive ammo, so i can take it to the range, and pratice, and have fun.

Because i'm a private citizen. Defense is not my job. A real defense institution, however, has the resources to do otherwise.

That's were you are completely and utterly wrong. Look at the struggles in Iraq & Afhganistan. Now imagine a country of ex military, militias and armed civilians with a substantial amount more of training, firearms and force (common sense delegates that any army would be weary of attacking) Hell, I live in Canada where 20 million of us are armed to the teeth (albeit with rifles and shotguns) and let me tell you, no military would have a hope in hell agianst us.

" Rebellion Against Tyrants Is Obedience To God"

Just curious, but:

Are you okay with banning guns, knowing the next thing on the list is a total ban on violent video games? If you haven't been watching the news, the next item on the agenda are games that the shooter played like Mass Effect.

Back from the dead, I'm afraid.

Well they are classed as assault rifles. It doesn't matter if you attack someone or not.

I agree they look cool etc, I like guns myself. (Under control though) but you own two assault rifles for 'protection', thats the issue. And I know about select fire, thats no excuse. Also you start talking about calibre but they can all kill.

And yes only the AK-74u is a submachine gun, my bad. But still..
