Although it is not a very reliable site but they have reported that Ageia has been bought by some company.. and the bidders likely included Amd, Intel and Nvidia, Sony and Nintendo, as well.

So AMD is not the buyer so this leaves Intel, Nvidia, Sony and Nintendo.. i don't think Intel have bought it cuz they did bought some software company for physics..

Btw i do wander wot possibly use Nintendo could have for Ageia, they don't have the processing power.. Sony has the power in console but do they really have the funds.. i don't think so... seeing their lack of interest in buying new games for PS3..

So wots ur take on which one has bought Ageia?

 They deny any change in the investors of the company, but it's still possible their could be something else in the works. A company could have purchased an exclusivity deal or the option to buy them at a later time. Either one of those would have essentially the same results as a buyout.

If there is any truth to this, I doubt it would be nVidia. Why should nVidia do anything to promote physics cards when there's already a push to start doing physics work on GPUs? Right now, the GPU is the most important component of a gaming system and nVidia doesn't want anything to threaten that.

 There was a cryptic Surfer Girl rumor about the Wii getting more raw power soon. This could be related. I'm not sure how such a thing would work though. Unless there's some sort of exceptionally well hidden expansion port on the Wii, there's no way you could use an external device for number crunching.

Well I guess if anything really did happen we'll hear about it eventually and if not, we'll just forget about it. 

Intel could be interested, recently bought Havoc (Killing the "physics using GPUs" projects from Ati & Nvidia), but is unlikely, Ageia doesn't worth the time right now, poor support, expensive Hardware, almost 5% penalty for running the Apps without the card, old tech slot (PCI), etc...
