A 2012 report by Newzoo, a games market research firm, states that the European games market is growing faster than the United States games market. One major factor is because consumers have more devices to access their entertainment on. That along with a whole list of other factors is what is changing the games market.
Of course it's growing faster. The US has been established games market for decades where parts of Europe are only just recently getting into the market. The US market can't really grow fast as it's already at a high rate of in home penetration.
Comparing rates of increase is silly when the initial level isn't equal to begin with.
