Personally not sure if I would have Fable: The Journey on the list.

Sure it has fables name, but i don't recal a single person not luaghing at the first presentation of it and going "WTF, we don't want that"

Black Ops Declassified got ripped to shreds after the Gamescom presentation for it and everyone's expectations fell through the floor.  But brand name is brand name, and I'd have expected better from Fable, just as I can understand people expecting more from Call of Duty.

Last entry (3) sold 5 million, 1 million in the first week on sale.  Less than 100k from The Journey in 2 months is a humongous drop.  I actually think it's the biggest flop on this list, but I won't get into that now :P

Personally Fable: The Journey feels like a Zelda Crossbow training more than a series game.

Thus why I feel it don't belong.  No one would say Zelda flopped if crossbow did bad (did it, no idea on its sales).

Black Ops is still a FPS as are all COD games, Fable journeys is something completely different than its main series games.

Sorry i didn't reply before.  The reason I put Fable Journey is for two reasons.  1 being the brand name as stated above by Kresnik, and number two we know that Microsoft and Lionhead had high expectations for this title being a showcase for hardcore kinect titles.

The title says "Let's Discuss". So I have a right to say what I think. I think using the internet and your personal experiences to represent the general population is a poor analysis.

Also, I don't have to have an argument to note the flaws in your argument. But if you want me to have argument, fine. My argument is: your argument is flawed for the following reasons.

Internet users don't represent the general population. Plenty of internet users were disappointed with every post-MW Cod game, but is CoD a flop? No.

Your friends and everybody you talked to don't represent the general population. Plenty of my friends were disappointed with Mario, Wii Sports, and pretty much every Nintendo game, but were those games flops? No. Furthermore, all of my friends loved Resident Evil 6. Using your logic, my friends would negate your friends.

Now, I ask you again: How do you know (since you've made the claim) that most gamers were disappointed with Resident Evil 6? As it stands, your argument is invalid.

Well i guess I'll accept that Microsoft and Lionhead hyped it.

But as for the rest of civilization there was zero hype, maybe a crap load of negative hype I guess.  But the fact that the game is nothing like it's predicesors I have a hard time thinking of it as a flop.  Like I said it feels like a Zelda Crossbow training or some kind of tech demo more than a game.

I can understand that argument, but Link's Crossbow Training probably isn't the best example - VGChartz has it at ~ 5 million (better than Skyward Sword; Majora's Mask; Wind Waker).

Even taking into account it's not-main-series nature, though, 80k is particularly low.  Added to the fact that (as Jay mentions above), it was pushed as pretty strong as a hardcore Kinect experience.

Plus, if we discounted Fable for the above reasons we'd have to discount LittleBigPlanet Karting too :P

Yes you can have an opinions but you were not giving reasons either.

Very simple, metacritic and user scores.  If I had more data to go off of then I would now wouldn't I?    Now are we done here? You really haven't given me any reason to think any differently.  Now have a good day.

You know your argument is that I don't know people are dissapointed with it.  So can you prove to me that people are happy with it?  The argument kind of goes both ways except I have a little more data than you do.

Yes I agree 100%  It is one of the two games on this list that virtually had no hype outside the company themselves.  All I know i Microsoft surely will not allow another title like this to come to kinect haha

You have no more data than I. I just proved that internet scores and your anecdotes are inaccurate methods to represent the general population.

I don't have to give proof. YOU ARE MAKING THE CLAIM. YOU HAVE TO BACK IT UP. And you have to do so with valid reasoning, which you have yet to do. I don't have to prove the contrary to show that your argument is weak. That's like me saying:

"I can fly. And you can't prove me wrong, so it must be true."

No, that's not how it works. The person making the claim (YOU) has to provide sufficient evidence. Internet scores and yur anecdotes ARE NOT sufficient evidence.

JayWood2010 said:

Isn't that just what I said?  People bought it because of it's name, meaning they got it because they like resident evil.  However when they play it and don't like it then it will make them second guess future installment correct?  Metacritic is just used to give you an idea of what people will think of the game.

Your rationalization is so bad it's sad.

RE 6 IS the future installment. People already played a game like this, it was called Resident Evil 5.

*sigh*  Well thank you for keeping this thread alive a little longer, I appreciate that.

You have yet to make an argument, you haven't even proven anything yet in your mind you have.

Resident Evil 5 Metacritic - 84
User Score - 77

Resident Evil 6 - 67
user Score 4.7
