Five people is still only five people, a very small percentage of the Sony fanbase here. It's not enough to warrant blanket statements about the entire fanbase.

PS3 fans have praised Journey long before any of these nominations. Just like 360 fans praised Limbo, Castle Crashers, Bastion, Super Meatboy, Splosion Man, Shadow Complex, FeZ or Braid. PS3 fans have also praised Flower, Fl0W, Joe Danger, Wipeout, Pixeljunk series or Siren.

 

You worry too much about what Playstation fans do and fail to realize that MS fans do just the same.

It's just what gamers do. They praise the games they enjoy.

Im sorry but I cant imagine anyone being taken seriously using meta games in 60s or lower to showcase their consoles strengths. Also its common sense that when a new gen begins, the spotlight is shifted to the new hardware and interest in older hardware fades away. That happens with all products, not just gaming.

Yes, we saw that in the beginning of this generation with PS2 vs 360 sale.

I said off the top of my head.  I'm sure i could go through and figure it out easily.  I've been very aware of how things are on here the last few years.  I've been on here I think since KZ2 and I never realized it I guess for a while.  Anyways I've ran a few of my own tests to see how many fans each have without flat out asking and it has always went Sony, Nintendo, then MS on this site.

Don't get me wrong, I love this site but it can get annoying at times too.  I kind of wish the fan bases were more spread out that way things could be a little more fair on this site.  But hey what can you do haha

Gamer fanbases have their own cultures. Just so happens the Sony camp is extremely cocky and arrogant.

What the hell are you talking about? No one said anything about youtube comments. Attacking 1 fanbase saying they're cocky and arrogant makes you look biased. Thats it, you're not a neutral voice.

You asked for proof. Your NOT gonna find it on a civilized, heavily mod patrolled forum. You got to go to places where people can really speak their minds...for better but probably for the worse lol.But again...youll probably wave your hands at those comments and just say they dont represent the whole group.

Hey, like corporation like fan (father like son). Not saying theres no good traits, but every faction has their ups and downs. Just so happens PS fans share those qualities.

Oh I do hope so. let us rejoice that the Playstation fans have finally given us the opportunity to count XBLA games because Journey is nominated for some stuff.They are most generous.

We do however, have our petitions to count quality kinect games unanswered because they "are excerise games" and probably because their own motion thingy didn't pan out. It totally wouldnt be fair to count our games when they have none to draw upon. Its so hard and unfair living under their rules!!!!

We are making progress with counting 360/PC games because PS3 games now share a Vita version. There is some resistance because holy scripture dictates that as long as its in the PS family its still a PS3 exclusive. Hopefully reason will sway their minds to finally ALLOW us to do so.

Were counting XBLA, 360/PC games, kinect games. 360 has more lifetime sales so we have the authority to veto your complaints! :)

Downloadable games don't compare to retail games in my eyes, doesn't matter if it is journey, flower or Shadow Complex or whatever. I have played enough games to know that except for games like minecraft, downloadable games have very less complexity and value compared to retail games and thus are good only for lovers of platformers and such.

I am sure there are a bunch of good downloadable games though, but comparing them to retail is like comparing DLC to expansion packs. They are not the same, except in rare cases.
