Binding of Isaac: Rebirth is being developed and produced by Nicalis, who did all of the Cave Story remakes, as well as the 3DS version of VVVVVV. It is a 16-bit demake that is set to release on the PS3, Vita and PC for right now, with Nicalis talking to MS and Nintendo for release on their platforms. More details in the link below...
