As you may or may not know I usually end up buying all the consoles each generation so it really isn't an if I buy the Vita but rather when I buy it.  Anyways with Persona 4 golden being released it does have me interested in buying it.  However I'm really not a JRPG type of guy other than pretty much just Pokemon.  No I don't really like Final Fantasy.  They aren't bad games, I just don't like them.  Anyways the vita honestly doesn't have anything else I'm even remotely interested in and on top of that they don't have anything in the forecast that interests me either.  Because of this I really can't justify spending $300+ for one of these things, so my vgchartz people, convince me to buy it, or should I just wait for a price drop. 

BTW I really hate doom threads and comments so if you are just going to come in here and bash the vita you might as well just leave.

If you wanted to buy one you probably should have bought it during the Black Friday sale. Probably best to wait for a price drop now.

Agreed. I bought the Black Friday bundle because the deal was so good.

I haven't yet played the system -- it's still en route -- so take my opinion with a grain of salt. But as of November 2012 there aren't many convincing reasons to purchase a Vita for $250. There are some highly-rated games, but many of them are available elsewhere. I'm most excited to play Gravity Rush, Wipeout, and a couple others. Luckily the bundle includes access to those and more.

The biggest problem is still those awful memory cards, which are just unacceptably expensive. And the system -- again, grain of salt -- has no killer app. As far as I'm concerned, Super Mario 3D Land proves the usefulness of 3D on the 3DS, and is just a terrific game to boot. Vita doesn't have its own Mario 3D Land.

I would recommend you wait for another bundle deal, or a permanent price cut.

Thanks.  That is what I'll be doing.  I mean honestly I don't even know if I'll like Persona 4 and beyond that I dont  really care for the rest of the games. Price is just too high for what it is at the moment.

I think you should have bought it at Black Friday. It was US$ 180 at Amazon with 2 games + 3 months of PSN Plus. A good option would be the upcoming bundle of Vita 3G + 1 year of PSN Plus for US$ 300. With Uncharted, Gravity Rush and other free games, its a good deal since you would spend way less money with games.

I bought one at BF basically because of Gravity Rush, P4G and LBP Vita. But the real reason I got one is to play some of the upcoming games, specially Tearaway and Killzone. I have a lot of curiosity for the augmented reality features and that was a reason too.

Vita is only $250.....and if you already have a PS3 and PS+ sub, you basically get to play a lot of games you never would have. PS+ already gives you 2 of the best games on Vita. Gravity Rush + Uncharted.

To me Gravity Rush, and P4G, is enough to consider a purchase. Then again I'm really selective when it comes to game franchise, and exclusives. Its up to you depending on the games that you like
