I'm one very happy Wii owner :) I just hope the sequel contains enough "new" stuff to warrant another purchase (may have to flog that original version off).

No mention of a release date that I saw. Also says there are 2 screenshots - I'll try to find them.

EDIT - also found this link. I think its a fake... somehow. If someone is up to putting out a fake PRESS RELEASE, they should be shot (seriously) - or Nintendo to sue them into oblivion at the least.

EDIT - but I will hope that its real ;) that's how I imagine a real ExciteTruck II could work (with online, Mii's, etc..). Maybe its a leak from the company. 

It seems to be fake which is unfortunate.  I really liked the first Excite Truck, had some flaws but they were forgivable for a launch title with entirely different controls.  I think it sold well enough to justify another installment so I hope the game is in development with a lot of the features mentioned in the articles.

I wrote a message to Monster Games inc today and yes it's a fake announcement, though the producer who wrote me back told me they we're working on a new game, but that's of course a secret  I assume it's for the WII  But just in case... I've asked it.

Too bad because I really like Excite Truck a lot, but let's hope a sort alike game for the WII will come from the creators.
