There are a ton of good deals for gamers this holiday season and if you are looking at getting a PS3 now is a great time. 

For 299 the price of a Wii U you can get an amazing package of games all new. 

Bestbuy, Walmart, Target 199 PS3 Holiday bundle. 

This bundle comes with a 250 GB PS3 and 5 games. The included games are Uncharted 1 and 2, Infamous 1, 2 and Festival of Blood.

5 games is a good start but not nearly enough for this thread. 

Best buy Killzone Trilogy Controller Bundle 60, for 60 bucks you get a second controller and 3 more games.

Walmart has a ton of games on sale from 10, 15 to 25 dollars. 

My recommendation for those looking to start a nice game collection is God of War Saga for 15 bucks that is another 5 games to your collection. 

Lastly you can use you final 25 bucks and spend it lots of ways. 

I recommend getting Dishonored, Borderlands 2, or Madden 13 for $25 at Walmart or picking up Red Dead Redemption GOTY Edition, Max Payne 3, Spec Ops The Line  for $15 and Batman Arkham City, Dead Island or LA Noire for $10.

That gives you a nice total of 14-15 games, 2 controllers and a brand new 250 GB PS3 for under 300. 

Hadn't heard of that controller bundle before, that's pretty nice.

Also, anyone new to the PS3 should look into Valkyria Chronicles.

Of course but finding that game new in a store right now is a chore but for those of you who just like gaming and don't care about trophies you should try this game.

For the rest of you just looking to get started follow my plan and you will be hooked.

Not that I know of.  Just saying that it's a good one to look out for, and even at $20 on Amazon I think it's well worth it.

If they had trophies, maybe.. But they are lazy and never jumped aboard, so I am to lazy to buy that game. Simple.

You're being serious?  You value trophies over game quality?  Why?  I don't mean to be facetious at all here, I'd really like to know.  Personally, there is probably nothing in the entire universe I care less about.

Did you play games before trophies came out?

I sure did play before, but when they added them, they were given time. Yet they were so lazy to update their game, so much so I didn't give a damn about their game anymore. Why should I be bothered if they can't be?.. I am one of the people who flames some game because of how dumb it is, and I don't actually buy it. Like COD sucks, nothing but a copy paste every year. And guess what? I didn't pre-order it this year, nor will I get it later on. Same with Halo. Tired of mediocre games selling us multiplayer, like 8 maps and the same garabage all over again. Story in video games is getting pushed back, more and more every year. I dislike this movement a lot.

Us comsumers have to speak to get change and with your money is the only way to do it.

That's cool and everything, I guess.  Can't say I understand it even a little bit, but if trophies are that important to you then do what you need to do.  I just care more about the games themselves.  Like, I'd much rather play a great game that doesn't have trophies than a mediocre game that has them.  To me, it's like someone saying they won't play a game if the main character has brown eyes or blonde hair or whatever.  I just can't get my mind around it.  I guess people play videogames for different reasons and to some the main reason is trophies.  To each their own.
