The game has a very clean look. Not sure if it's the best looking game on consoles, I'll have to play it first before I decide that, from what I've seen I don't think it is though. |
I watched the IGN review, yesterday and I thought to myself, "Yeah, it looks okay. Nothing to complain about." but when I finally played it, I was actually surprised how good it looked. I'd say that playing is believing, in this case. I still haven't played enough to give a detailed opinion and it looks like that probably won't happen until late tonight, if at all. I think you'll like it, though.

Some games do look a lot better in motion, screenshots don't always do justice.
I wouldn't be so sure that I would like it. I've been very weary of Halo games, I tried the Reach demo and I didn't like it at all, but when I played a few games online and one level at my Uncle's I had a blast. I've been thinking about buying the game since then, but that demo left such a bad taste in my mouth. I've been asking people where they think I should start. If the new Halo trilogy from 4 onwards is starting a new arc in the story, then I might buy Reach and then do a "Star Wars", playing the newer games first and then revisiting 1-3 if I have the time.

Hey, I was terribly disappointed by Reach until the after credits scene. Then, I played it again about three months ago and I really enjoyed it. I don't know what happened differently.
After I finished Reach, we went back and bought Halo Anniversary and ODST. I meant to replay the entire sag before Halo 4 launched but I only finished Reach, Anniversary, and a very little bit of Halo 2. Didn't even finish the first level of ODST and I was really looking forward to replaying Halo 3. Just got sidetracked. Anyway, if you get the chance, give it a try.
