Thats odd seeming as just a year ago, LBP2 got 91 meta and sold >2.5 M thus far...
The Vita in general isnt selling and the karting just isnt appealing to many. See modnation racers. Not to mention that LBP Vita is one of the highest scoring Vita titles.

Im referring to sales, not so much the scores. LBP2 had a major drop off compared to 1. The Vita and Karting versions arent helping

LBP2 sales suffered because of the delay. It's missed the holiday season and launched in January. That really hurt the game since its very family friendly.
I myself think that there was no need for LBP2. This isn't the type of IP that needs sequels.

The real reason was your own post. Mainly the franchise concept fades after the first release.
Xbox: Best hardware, Game Pass best value, best BC, more 1st party genres and multiplayer titles.
