I agree that Yen's exchange situation has a lot to do with the current state of many Japanese companies. But the main issue for Sony,Toshiba,Sharp and other important Japanese electronic giants, is their inability to compete against foreing brands. Specially from South Korea.

The same applies to other Japanese giants from other segments, like Toyota which is being slaughtered by Hyundai.

Can someone explain what is all the fuss about this?

To me, best way of knowing sales - as I put shipments above anything else.

Nintendo gave us an idea, but let's see if Sony can confirm those numbers.

I see but you mean sales for playstation games and ps3 right?

I expect a profitable quarter ... maybe not in the billions but at least a few million $
especially since the launch of the superslim and vita sales also picking up

Only Nintendo publishes shipment for games in financials I think.

Sales for PS3 and Vita systems (and since now sony merged console and portables shipments, PSP and PS2 too...)
