I can't remember but saw a poster at gaf point out several publications were less than impressed with the SP.

MMM I read that. Whats wierd is its like they dont know anything about the Halo universe or its Lore. If anything Halo 4's story is what we have been waiting for. Proper Halo Lore, Presentation that is of the highest degree in Videogames and emotional. 

Its easy when your into Halo as much as me or others to see when a reviewer doesnt make sense.

I saw the samething happened in the past... the point is "too much expectations"... Halo 4 can be the best Halo ever but it have more expectations than any Halo ever released too.

It deserves a better metascore than 90... I read some review and it seems like I will like it more than Reach.

PS. My favorite is Halo 3.

meh nowadays don't take any review seriously...at least too seriously. Lack of objectivity and marketing pushes tend to skew scores etc. User reviews are the best reviews and the most useful ones.

Dont think its expectations. I also think AC3 is the best AC by far. And it has the same fate. Its late in the generation. I think reviewers are scared or weary to give sequels high numbers.

All in all Halo 4 is the first game I can remember this generation since GTA4 that has no yellow reviews on Meta funnily enough. They are all green so far.

I agree with this. People put way too much importance on numerical scores. While especially true with video games, you even see this taking place with movies (just look at rottentomatoes and some of the comments when a negative review comes out). Personally, my criteria  for a good game is whether it makes me want to keep playing it (pretty simple but that's all that matters to me).

Uncharted 2 . And that's with over 100 reviews!

Yes so it did. 

That series reviews frustrated me. Uncarted 1 imo was way better than 2. Its a shame that not many agree with me. ;(

I must say theres some pretty good discussion going on in this thread about the gaming review process and how important numerical scores are.

Whether Halo 4 got a 89 or a 96 doesnt really matter. Its gotten like 50 reviews so far on Meta and not one is "mixed" or "negative". Obviousky the games amazing.

And a 90 Meta is excellent anyways

90 isn't bad actually. This years almost all the games got lower scores... for example in Xbox 360, this is the top of best scores.
