Kotaku said thatvthe cutscenes have THE BEST facial animations and captures theyve ever seen.

They went as far as to say that during cutscenes they would mistake the animations as real actors. That is some high praise. Cant wait to see this game for myself on a big screen in HD

I LOVE cutscenes.(especially CGI) Don't see too many shooters with those these days.

LOL this says 91? I'm confused!

Interested in reading feedback from Bungie to see what they think of what 343 did with the game. So far, the game is sounding rather impressive. I'm surprised the Metacritic score is coming in so low.

90 still. hopefully stills there

It's a funny thing to read "best Halo ever" then a score lower than other Halos. No big deal, I just wonder how someone with this take would explain that.

You guys should go back and read that Halo prediction thread. A lot of guys saying low 90's and a few nuts in the high 90's, mostly the hardcore MS fans http://gamrconnect.vgchartz.com/thread.php?id=148718&page=1

I hope there weren't too many bets lol.

I LOVE paying for Xbox Live! I also love that my love for it pisses off so many people.

Putting Metacritic into context, there are 42 reviews so far, all positive. The lowest score is an 80 or 8.0 on a 10 point scale. 17 of the reviews are 90 (9.0) in line with the review average. 9 of the reviews are below average. The remaining 16 are a 91 or better.

Kotaku's review was rather brilliant in slicing the bits and pieces of what makes the game great and what doesn't, so I have to say so far it's the best review I've read that justifies the score it gave. Which on Kotaku is a Yes or No as to the question of should I buy it.

Having difficulty with sites that review the game and offer no justification for the score they're giving it. Not even a hint of regret in the review. It seems almost as if they didn't want to offer it high praise, but didn't want to knock it because they were impressed by it.

90? even i didn't expect this.. 89 would be even worse, let's just hope it stays put.

Wow actually doing slightly better than I thought. I got worried some would review it harshly but a 91 for a FPS this late in the generation is incredible. Probably will get GOTY from most sources, but not all. Im guessing it will end up closest to universal GOTY. That or Mass Effect 3.

And Slimbeast you sound rediculous. Its not like the IGN review is even out of place or the highest. Theres multiple websites and publications that gave Halo 4 a strait 10. But then again your just blindly hating on a game youve never played so Im just wasting my time

9.8 out of 10.0 is a much stronger statement than 10/10.

Why do you accuse me of "blindly hating"? Where did I hate Halo?

Btw. you yourself have admitted that the inflated GTA4 scores back in 2008 were outrageous.

You have been hating on Microsoft products and games pretty much since you got your PS3. Your a very different person to who you were on here when you first arrived. I used to ride into battle with you back when VGC had alot more Xbox fans here. Now your like Slimebeasts darkside twin. That killed off the legendary Jedi Slimebeast.

Sometimes I feel very guilty about my betrayal, but I just couldn't take the heat anymore.

Man, it's much easier to be on the winning side.

Last place = winning

I love PS fan mindsets! :)

Xbox: Best hardware, Game Pass best value, best BC, more 1st party genres and multiplayer titles.

Really no one expected 90 or a little lower?

I certainly did and Im a gigantic Halo fan. This has the lowest reviewed year Ive almost ever seen. Once I saw how bad Resident Evil 6 and AC3:got hammered by some reviewers I knew anything over 93 was out of the question. I still cant believe Mass Effect 3 is the highest reviewed game this year.

Pretty much to get anything over 92 at this point in the generation you have to do something MAJOR revolutionaty. God Of War wont get it next year, Gears of War wont do it next year. Beyond and The Last of Us have a slight chance as both are new IP which reviewers seem to be a little more leniant on just look at Dishonored bloated review score.
