Is LBP Karting a clone?

Yes, of Modnation 26 50.98%

Yes, of Mariokart 16 31.37%

I've never heard of this game... 9 17.65%

Total:51

IMO. The problem is the mascot. It lack "personality" and just seem to be missing something to be adore by the masses.

I'm just interested in the whole "kevin Butler DLC" thing. There may be a slight problem with that.....

After LBP 1 the series had a massive drop off effect. Guess the novelty wore off. But since LBP is releasing alongside the big hitter window (AC3, Halo 4, COD, Need For Speed), coupled with Sonys lack to market it, its sad its being sent out to die essentially.

Xbox: Best hardware, Game Pass best value, best BC, more 1st party genres and multiplayer titles.

i was really excited when it was first announced but when i heard united front was developing it i got worried. i said back then i'd wait for reviews...the fact that sony isn't marketing this in any way isn't a good sign though. probably a no buy from me as there are tons of other things i want to play. ..maybe when it hits the bargain bin.

The sales did go south but LBP 2's user maps were really great, the game was successful for a gamer in that respect.

If Karting gets the same feedback it will be great.

This video doesn't even include the release date :(

seems like the creation part will be its main draw for me, but LBPK will flop harder then starhawk. and starthawk was awesome.

To be honest ive kinda had my fill with LBP. I enjoyed the original and even the PSP one, was loving the sequel until i had to get a bigger harddrive, then i realized that most of my progress and whatnot was tied to the game install data instead of seperate save data like a normal freaking game. SO i dont even play that anymore. I still play Modnation which is great, i got Mario Kart7 if i want something more relaxing and that new Sonic racer is coming out and that looks better than LBPkarting

There is an option to have it converted into a normal save file. (I think it's in the pause menu when you're in the pod). LBP is my favourite series so I'll be getting it day one. However i don't have high hopes that many others will do the same.

 :(

There is?! Thats good to know, I was this close to just saying screw it and sell the game or something, which would have been a damn shame because i do really like the games, especially part 2, Move implemation and all.  The thing about Karting is that its really hard to stick out, Mario dominated for so long and there are other options out there, and even if one was a big fan, you only need so many kart racers

VGChartz has modnation tracked at .97 million. Metacritic has it at 82. How do you guys think Karting will compare?

Personally I think it will sell just a bit more but do way worse on Metacritic. Reviewers will be biased towards it because of it using the LBP ip.
