A 7.7 Quake just struck offshore British Columbia and spawned a Tsunami, Northwest Coast of the USA and Southwest Canada are under a Tsunami Warning.

Additional 6.5+ Magnitude Aftershocks are expected.

This comes in addition to the "Perfect Storm" that is about to strike the Northeast coast of the USA.

Yike.

UPDATE: No initial reports of extensive damage, the big quake struck in a low population area under shallow water. While there is a Tsunami on the move, it is relatively small and initial measurements were exaggerated due to the shallow depth of the quake

I felt it and I live about 800 km away.

I was walking down along the street and I heard this voice saying, "Good evening, Mr. Dowd." Well, I turned around and here was this big six-foot rabbit leaning up against a lamp-post. Well, I thought nothing of that because when you've lived in a town as long as I've lived in this one, you get used to the fact that everybody knows your name.

Well Vancouver Island is in it's radar, but it probably wont be a big deal. there are lots of little islands in it's way to fizzle it out.
