Nintendo doom has nothing to do with money. It's because Nintendo shakes things up with their hardware every generation and they like to take their art styles off on some crazy tangents from time to time. People are afraid of change. I remember when the GameCube was announced and I didn't want my precious N64 to be replaced. Once I got my hands on Pikmin though.. all those fears melted away.
